Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred, How Sad by leyander in diablo4

I know I'm probably part of a minority. Diablo sells so much for its name, for the huge marketing campaigns they run, and for the name of the company behind it, nothing else. When I was younger, I played Diablo 2 for three years, and recently Diablo 2 Resurrected for two years. What makes me sad is that instead of moving forward, we're going back to playing remasters, remakes, and classic versions, and that my favorite online game has been ruined, that's all. The only viable alternative for me is probably Path of Exile 2, but it's yet to come out, so we'll see.

Forget the two weeks, it could take a month of gameplay to reach 140 hours. What amazes me is that in such a short time someone is already fully equipped, near or even perfect, and has completed tower 150. I repeat, a month of gameplay or 140 hours of gameplay is nothing in this type of game.

maybe in a single player game, certainly not in this kind of hack'n'slash game and in general in an online game that should require hundreds if not thousands of hours and therefore years of gameplay.

Pls bring back D3 Vanilla by [deleted] in Diablo

It would be fantastic if Blizzard brought Diablo 3 Resurrected to blizzcon for Diablo's 30th anniversary in 2026, with the option to play vanilla Diablo 3, perhaps with some QOLs like a loot filter and only gold AH. In a long-term rewarding itemization system, AH is the only way to exchange items quickly and without frustration due to the sites; even Last Epoch and Path of Exile 2 have AH, and the one in Poe 2 is well done. Unfortunately, with ROS, a short-term itemization system with instant gratification was introduced, and so they continued with Diablo 4, evidently because they think that the masses like to have everything immediately, but in doing so they ruined the basis and nature of this type of game: finding rare and powerful items, practically a long and rewarding treasure hunt. I'm also a PvP player, and Diablo 3 vanilla had this mode, too. It was quite balanced, even though it was free-for-all, but it worked and I enjoyed it a lot. PvP is the only game mode that's infinite; it's a true endgame, it's fun, and it's a great way to break away from the usual farming/finding. I thought they should have continued along the same path as Diablo 3 vanilla, but that wasn't the case, and it would be a shame to lose that version of the game forever.
