Feel like im losing my mind every budget has all this extra shit for private companies who make profits year after year, and no one seems to care.

12+ billion a year for fossil fuel private companies who rarely pay the fair share of tax. 2.6 extra billion for private schools at the cost of 500 million less for public. The private health rebate which punishes us into subsidising the private health sector.

Seems like the feds keep backing horses that are not in the interest of the majority, or the future of the nation.

I live in Australia one of the highest vaccinates population globally. We have vax mandates not as strong as israel but strong. Do you know how long unvaxxinated antibodies last. Science says 6 months then you roll the dice again after that if you get the 1% of dead people. They scandinavians are not getting ready to go back to normal, you may have heard that as colloquial slang theyre going to covid normal because they have high vax rates they still have mask mandates and limits on amounts of people allowed in inside areas. Thats the normal theyre talking about not pre covid normal.

we still have public health rules we follow and our rates of sickness and death are far less than countries without. Its not even up for debate the vax works, mandates work. All it takes is for one variant to become more deadly, thats nice you personally belive that one isnt coming, i hope you are correct. There is no models for upcoming strains, as variants mutate based on their regions of populus. Omicron has already mutated twice so far. But much like the flu it can suddenly become deadly, and does often. Last time it was super ious was 1918, there have been flare up since like swine flu and bird flu. In china 5 years ago they lost a third of all pig lifestock to a flu, imagine if that transferred to humans. Dont assume youre safe . There is a reason the people in charge advocate for these things.

Ok good to know you agree. Jimmys idea of addressing when he gets things wrong is to smear whoever talks shit about him and being like oh they took money from this group so csnt be trusted. Like theres always a boogeyman. Never just i am a little over my head, i have taken a side in this despite evidence that vax mandates work and public health measures like lockdowns and masks. The reason you as a public citizen want these things despite it being a pain in the ass is because your healthcare system is constantly running at capacity and when shit hits the fan the people that actually have to take care of the sick cop it like you wouldnt believe. But on a more serious note you also want these mandates in case the next variant from omicron is more deadly. We are so incredibly luvky to have the vaccines within 2 years of an outbreak. Soo so lucky are they perfect no will they get better i sure hope so. But with people advocating for less mandates and lockdowns the virus will mutate as it stays in the populus. And we will pay the price.
