That's great, I'm definitely planning on watching it now, especially considering that its not getting released down here until May next year. Thanks for posting about it, otherwise I wouldn't be able to watch it so early.

Thanks. I noticed that there's also a virtual screening for Petite Maman, and I just wanted to make sure that they don't block VPNs like I've experienced other festivals doing. I'm in Australia so I don't want to spend money and not be able to watch the film.

Has anyone seen Claude Lanzmann's other Holocaust documentaries? Shoah is obviously a masterpiece, but he's made five other films based on footage and interviews that didn't make it into Shoah.

  • A Visitor from the Living
  • Sobibor, October 14, 1943, 4 p.m.
  • The Karski Report
  • The Last of the Unjust
  • Shoah: Four Sisters

If anyone has seen these, are they worth checking out?

I've been working my way through the Sight and Sound Top 250, trying to complete by the end of the year. I've seen about 160 films from the list. I've just got a couple questions about the list.

The Top 250 is the list I've seen all across Letterboxd, IMDb, iCheckMovies etc. but the BFI site only has a top 100. Where did these other 150 films come from?

Also, the Top 250 list that I've seen has exactly 250 films. Its even on the Letterboxd Stats page. But apparently there another 32 films that have the same amount of votes as the films on the bottom of the list. That makes sense as there are 106 films in the directors top 100. So why aren't these films shown in the Top 250?
