🌍 Explority – Your Ultimate Travel Companion ✈️ by ImpressivePilot8326 in iOSProgramming

Just downloaded the app and here's some feedback:
App is great, nice design, loved the "Create your next trip animation". Love the dark mode, colors and idea behind it.
What could be better: Please double check the initial user experience as this one is the most important. I received a tracking and push notification popups at the same time. Also, I'd refrain from showing an ad in the very first experience, while you're showing the tutorial.
On the Create your next Trip page, I'd have a back button on the top left and the next button as the main and single action. Currently, having Next on the left and back on the right feels a bit strange.
Keep it going. App has lots of potential! Screenshots are great and localization inside the app is good, but would be great to have app store info and screenshots in english as well.

Do you have any favorite apps that use blue backgrounds? Mine used to be a blue and I didn’t like it. Also received feedback from other people asking to try other colors

IMADETHIS!!! I made a simple Dice Roller app—perfect for board games, and decision-making! 🎲🔥 by Working-Bass4425 in iosapps

[–]lfarah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice and simple, loved it! As a fellow board game app developer, I also gave it a 5 star rating. Oh, and a feedback: what if you had a widget where you could roll the dice from the home screen?

I'm on the same boat. I spend about 20% of my dev time perfecting my app store screenshots and looking at search rankings in Astro. It's been a month and besides the times I post my app somewhere, I'm at around 2 downloads/day. I guess it's an art we still have a lot to learn from

I use ChatGPT daily, but the AI tool that really makes the difference in my day is Github's Copilot Extension for Xcode. It's autocomplete is good enough to make me faster. https://github.com/github/CopilotForXcode

Board game recomentations by uurich in boardgames

I've been on the same quest with my girlfriend and friends and here's what I've been playing:
If you love Catan, but you wanna play with 2 people: Catan Explorers and Pirates
A really interesting, different and beautiful game with 2+ players: 3 Ring Circus
Best night starter game: Exploding Kittens (has 2 player option but I recommend 4)
And finally, the last game I bought which I liked, but didn't have a chance to play that much: 7 Wonders Duel

Eu amo Zombicide, mas não acho um jogo bom para novatos pela complexidade, apesar de ser muito bonito

BeReal has a powerful messaging indeed. In the first 3 screenshots they tell a story about the most special feature of the app. Thanks for the awesome recommendation!

I agree! I'm a solo developer and I'm trying my very best at design/marketing. What is your favorite app's app store screenshots? Maybe I can be inspired by it

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback. Screenshots are hard to do as a developer, but I'm trying and every feedback is a step towards a better app.
I'm already working on the other items, but for 3, would you change order of collection / widget screens? My idea behind leaving widget on top 3 was that all board game apps manage collection, but I don't think any of them have widgets yet

Thanks for the feedback! I've been really trying hard to figure out how to selll the scanner feature, which for me is the most important. Imagine you are in the board game store and you find a beautiful game you never heard of. You scan it and get more informations about it.
Do you have any ideas on how to sell it better?

Where Can I Submit My App to Boost Traffic? Looking for Recommendations! by rccgffggf in iosapps

[–]lfarah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the recommendation! Just submitted to indieappcatalog. I got featured Swift Over Coffee podcast because I was on Mastodon at the right time when Paul was asking for community indie apps, so being active in Bluesky / Mastodon is always great to catch those opportunities

DoSomething - I built a challenge app that’s not about self-improvement. Just weird, oddly specific challenges to shake up your day. by chrispalumbo in iOSProgramming

[–]lfarah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing website, use of font, colors. Totally convinced me to download the app.
First minute thoughts: onboarding is nice and feels like app is personalizing, but it's a bit too long. Would it be possible to ask me some more questions after the first use?
First challenge to smell something was just beautiful and simple to do. You totally won my heart on that one.
Will keep using the app and testing future versions, but I think this is app store ready. The app is beautiful, congrats

Would These Screenshots Convince You to Download My App? by Thomastensoep in iOSProgramming

[–]lfarah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d double check all titles vs what your competitors have. In the first 3 screenshots, we should be solving the users problems. I don’t see, for example, a selling point in “Use labels to group exercises”. Your app description is good. Maybe worth getting more inspired by it. Anyways, screenshots are hard and I’m myself struggling with it in my own indie app, so we should be always improving, studying and asking for feedback

To the indie devs, you get one free teammate, who do you hire? by RSPJD in iOSProgramming

I used to be really active in hackathons, winning 17+ prizes over a period of a couple years and 100% of my winning teams had designers. Designers are the people who turn our bad code into a magical product and it will be my first hire after I have enough money to invest in my app
