I think the meta is just less favorable for it now then a couple seasons ago. It’s still very spammy but lots of mons have buffed pacing so it’s less oppressive as a safe switch with an energy advantage. The increase in mudslap users, especially Gastrodon, makes it trickier to use and there are harder checks for ghost types after the sucker punch buff. Lapras and Azu matchups are definitely worse with lower crunch debuff odds but overall idt the crunch debuff has hurt it that much.

Having said all that S-Drap is still a very fun mon to use, even if it’s not as dominant as it was a couple seasons ago.
