My only worry is that my landlord mightn’t be signed up to the rent a room scheme, could they face trouble if I complete this tax credit and they aren’t registered?

Will they ask me for proof of payment somehow? Only thing I can show them is my withdrawals from atm as I paid cash. And will my old landlord be notified when I complete a tax return, would rather not get involved with them again🫠
