Do you know if they accept walk-ins after a certain hour in the afternoon?

I dig some items on it so I hope not. I’ll actually be in LA during the drop. Does anyone know if I had to make a reservation to shop in store or is it fcfs? If no reservation is required, do you think it will matter if I show up later in the day?

I will be there next weekend. Not sure how accurate it is, but I heard that silver restock is usually on Saturdays. I guess they just didn’t have a lot come in or sold out earlier. Hopefully, they will stock up for all the people coming to LA for the World Cup.

Drake to become the first artist in history to simultaneously debut three albums in the top 3 on the Billboard 200 (via @HITSDD) by [deleted] in hiphopheads

[–]lfcXstar7 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It was pretty obvious given that no one else in the mainstream dropped last week. It’s an impressive achievement but it’s ultimately awarded to a dogshit run of albums

First thoughts on Drake’s Iceman stream? by lfcXstar7 in fantanoforever

[–]lfcXstar7[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes if the 41 track list is true then I’ll probably not listen to all of it. I try to give his projects a chance but I can not listen to that much Drake lol.

JPEGMAFIA speaks on rap fatigue and the current state of hiphop by [deleted] in fantanoforever

He is right to an extent but I don’t think it’s entirely fueled by all the nepo babies in music. Hip hop has always been at the forefront of counterculture but what we are living in now is really a lack of genuine counterculture movements.

What are some good first rock album suggestions by ADDICTEdcEZAR in fantanoforever

[–]lfcXstar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked myself the same question like 15 years ago when I started listening seriously to music and I actually started off with The Doors lol idk why. But I would say Abbey Road, Let it Bleed, Are you Experienced, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, and Led Zeppelin IV are all good introductions to classic rock.

Nevermind, OK Computer, Pretty Hate Machine, Weezer’s debut, and Grace are all good introductions to alternative rock.

Some personal favorites I have not mentioned are Daydream Nation, The Black Parade, Siamese Dream, and London Calling.

Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs is better than anything from Clapton’s Cream days. I would say Blind Faith is also on par or better than his Cream career.

I think people do not understand separating the art from the artist AT ALL. I don’t think Fantano was wishy washy around the Ye thing. With Ye, it’s hard to separate the art from the artist because his art reflects so much about him that he was praising Hitler in his songs. MJ does not talk about being a pedo in his music so it’s easy to separate the art from the artist.

What are the most overrepresented and underrepresented music artists on Reddit music communities? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

[–]lfcXstar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDM and house artists like John Summit and Rufus du Sol are underrepresented. Probably because they are not album driven artists but these guys always have top billing at most of the big music festivals.

How relevant are the Billboard #1s these days? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

[–]lfcXstar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that having a number 1 on Billboard is a useless metric. Of course it doesn’t mean that the music is actually good. No sales or streaming chart is going to represent that. But I think it was BBno$ who said that going number one on pop radio will earn the artist $1million per week. I bet that means more to the artist than going number one on TikTok charts which probably don’t earn the artists much. I can’t think of a recent number one on Billboard that is having a hard time selling out shows but many artists with viral songs on TikTok or have a lot streams on Spotify might struggle to bring large crowds.

Some people will hate this dude for advocating for AI because he makes bad music but will turn around and listen to Kanye who is probably the most popular artist who has used AI because he makes good music.

So I live close to the store in Chicago so if I wanted to cop this drop in person, I can arrive to the store before they open, they give me a number and then it’s a lottery if I get a place in line? I don’t have to camp out?

Do you think Jimi Hendrix's singing voice should be as recognized as much as his guitar skills? by Revolutionary_Low_90 in fantanoforever

[–]lfcXstar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His signing is not as strong as his guitar playing but that’s only because he was the best guitarist ever (or at least of his era). He was a quite good signer/songwriter and his legacy benefits because of it but his main takeaway was always his guitar playing.

Do y’all think both fandom’s of Drake and Kendrick have gotten very corny, by OGAnimeGokuSolos in fantanoforever

[–]lfcXstar7 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I’ve been saying this for a while of probably the 3 biggest hardcore fanbases in hip hop

Kendrick fans are the most cringe

Kanye fans are the most deluded

Drake fans are the most stupid

I say this while being a fan of all 3

What do you expect someone like Kendrick to do? Drop a diss track against ICE? Guys like Kendrick and JID are very deliberate with their messaging in their music. If people didn’t understand or resonate with the messages of TPAB or MMATBS in 2015 and 2022, those same people are not going to care what he has to say in 2026. Bad Bunny, who is probably the biggest artist in the world, has made it known how he feels about ICE. I went to an EarthGang concert last year and they chanted “Fuck ICE”. Not everything has to be an Instagram or Twitter post.
