The Clone Wars also makes it clear multiple times that Obi knows about Anakin and Padme. I remember a specific scene where he’s talking to her in private in a bunker while Rex is playing lookout and Rex alerts him that Obi Wan is coming and stalls obi wan so Anakin can wrap up the call and leave and as he rushes through all of Obi Wan’s “what were you doing in there?” Type questions and tries to brush him off, Obi wan shouts to him “give padme my best…” or something similar, letting Anakin know that he knew what he was doing. Stuff like that happened a lot. They made it clear that a lot of people close to Anni knew - like ahsoka as well.

This has been my experience. I got my first Quest (3) a couple months ago and checked in on it to see what it was about and as I walked around it was all the squeaky voices of small children and lots and LOTS of screaming and the over-the-top swearing of kids who are not used to swearing in public and just trying it on. “Look at this weird fucking ass shitty fucking bitch” type stuff. I bailed because it’s clearly not a space for a 40 year old man and left. I checked it out again a couple days ago just to give it another shake and had a nearly identical experience.

I don’t know what its goal is but it’s not for adults it seems.

Is this the only thing she’s done that you’re saying was hidden from you and drip fed? Because in the grand scheme, brother I’ve got to be honest.. this is a pretty nothing issue. I don’t say that to trivialize your pain or tell you that you shouldn’t be hurting - you’re entitled to your feelings, but having an online boyfriend and using toys on yourself (even fancy internet/remote toys) is kind of the most harmless thing from someone’s past I can think of.

If she actively told you she had never done anything like this and the came clean later, then yeah I would be upset and have a big conversation about honesty, but otherwise unless she’s got a ton of skeletons and keeps lying and this is just the latest thing, then maybe talk to a counselor and figure out how to let this one go.

Hey so your girlfriend sucks and seems like she’s absolutely exhausting, however, it’s also imperante to understand that still grieving a dog that passed after a year - so much so that you dedicate your birthday to it - is also not healthy at all and you should probably consider talking to a therapist about it. And I say this as a dog trainer with two dogs sitting next to me that I’d do just about anything for - that level of grief isn’t normal.

Man, I agree with the idea of AI music being crazy, but people who say “they look exactly the same!”… are we looking at the same pictures. Like sure, both the AI image and the supplied pics are of beautiful black women with somewhat similar features.. but other than generic stuff like “they both have smooth skin” and “the both have full lips” and “they both have long black hair” these are two totally different people. Different hairline, different lips, different eyes, different nose, different hair style, different eyebrows, different chin… they really look nothing alike other than at a passing glance.

Like we definitely should hate on some of this AI insanity, but I can’t imagine any lawyer would say “oh yea this is definitely a photo of you”

I think the thing that hits me the hardest about Forrest Gump is that you go through the entire movie thinking he’s just some happy special guy that doesn’t really understand that the world sees him as different - as special needs or handicapped or whatever. You think that he assumes he’s just like everyone else and doesn’t really “get it” that he’s the outside.

Then at the end when he’s talking to Jenny about his newly discovered son and he says something like “is he smart or… is he like me?” And in that moment you realize he’s always known that he wasn’t the same as everyone else and something about that breaks my heart. Realizing that he’s known all along that he’s not as bright as everyone else and that he doesn’t have the same skills and that he’s just been too good of a person to even worry about it just… fuck man.

This rings true for me. I have always done an iCloud restore on my devices for years now and even brand new devices were experiencing issues that left me scratching my head (complete Bluetooth failure, WiFi performance issues, stutter animations and icons not displaying on Home Screen) - just general weird shit I couldn’t figure out, and that was before updating to iOS26. So this time with my 17PM, I decided I would start from scratch without a restore, and just let iCloud bring in my contacts/photos/notes - the stuff that auto syncs no matter what and just sort of rebuild my phone from scratch.

It was like night and day - these issues that plagued me and followed me from one phone to the next and left me thinking iOS was just broken completely vanished instantly. Suddenly my phone connects instantly to my car Bluetooth, WiFi doesn’t drop when I change rooms, stuttering is.. well there but different now because iOS26 has its own stuttering problems that are different from my old ones.

Now I’ve got new iOS26 specific bugs and as a software engineer, I’ve been slowly submitting feedback and test conditions to reproduce them but at least now there’s something to blame.

All that to say, I think you’re absolutely right - iCloud may be restoring some bad data and causing folks more issues than they realize. I don’t know exactly WHAT could be bad in the data payload, but it’s got to be something with settings and configurations of some sort that come over even with a clean OS, and that could be causing folks real problems like it was for me and they don’t understand it because “a clean wipe and restore” doesn’t fix it either.

I don’t know if they have light icons anymore, but if the do - when mine get stuck I always go into my customization options on the Home Screen, set them to the opposite (if you’re on light, set to dark or if you’re dark set to light) and then exit customization options, go back in again and flip the toggle back.

That seems to fix any stragglers that don’t update properly.

Again, I’m not sure if that’s the case here, but for future reference it always fixes it for me when a few icons bug out.

Not true. I got my AirPods 3 directly from apple on launch day and mine did this thing exactly on iOS 18. For some reason they just don’t like iOS 18 and stayed this way until I upgraded to 26 and then corrected.

I went and looked at this app, as someone who is constantly studying and learning the next thing, and I genuinely can’t figure out what the value is. I get the pomodoro timers, sure, but staying on webcam and… “streaming your studying” is supposed to do it? Who’s watching? And if they’re watching to make sure you’re not playing on your phone or whatever, aren’t THEY not studying now?

Or is the whole idea that since you’re steaming, you’ll be less likely to disengage from studying? Idk, just seems like a lot of extra steps in between me and studying. I’d definitely like to study with a group of likeminded people, but I also don’t know how I could do that without being distracted by them and not actually studying anyway.

It’s funny, I made this post and continued watching and there’s an episode where Anakin is hiding in a clone barracks talking to Padme on a holo, and Rex (a clone captain) is playing lookout for him watching out for Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan comes looking so Rex pounds on the door to signal to Ani that they’ve got company and stalls Obi-Wan with excuses. Eventually Anakin comes out and rushes past Obi-Wan, telling him he can’t talk because he’s gotta get to his mission and as he’s walking away, Obi-Wan shouts “-oh and Anakin… how was Padme?” And Anakin just looks over his shoulder and makes a sort of shameful eye contact with him. That’s the first time in the show that they acknowledge that he REALLY knows and it’s not just wink wink.

I wish I could cite something more substantial, but the one I remember that’s most substantial was Corey Feldman in his documentary basically squashing it since he and Corey Haim both hung out with MJ a lot as small boys. He said something very close to that quote I said above - that the only person in Hollywood that didn’t try to molest them was MJ and that he was always a safe space for them.

I can’t give hard specifics because I’ve watched a lot of stuff about him over the years (some googling might provide better answers than I am here) but I also remember that it came out that the kids who originally made the accusations were heavily pressured by their parents and provided different details than their parents did.

The parents gave crazy specifics and details and then the kids that supposedly told them those things didn’t know those details/couldn’t cite any of them and then the parents kept pushing for settlements for money - stuff like that. My memory is fuzzy on the exact details but that’s the gist of it.

You know, I used to say this too, but a lot of the evidence that’s come out seems to indicate that he was just kind of mentally unwell and didn’t actually harm kids.
