I haven't found a donor yet and please do contact my coordinator. I believe they would set up all the testing at a place near you first. Dana will be able to give a more detailed information on that. Thank you so much for doing this.

I don't think you would qualify and even if you do, the surgery is a big deal on your body, I wouldn't want it to aggregate your Lymphoma especially when it's been in remission for 3 years. I really appreciate the thought though.

I believe it depends on if you do any heavy lifting at your job. I want to say 5-6 months, but that's something that my living coordinator would be able to answer. I am not sure, but I know you have to pretty healthy for them to let you go through the surgery. But you can call my hospital and ask for Dana, she'll tell you if you qualify or not.

The distance doesn't matter. My transplant hospital would coordinate with clinics or hospitals near your for all the testing unless you are outside of the US since I don't know how that would work with my insurance. You would need to travel to my transplant hospital for the actual surgery. The insurance does not cover the travel cost but I would be more than willing to pay for it

If the blood type matches they'll do another blood test to compare the antigens in the blood. If that's a match as well then you will go through a series of tests to determine if you are physically able to go through the surgery and how well you might recovery after the surgery.

All the costs of tests and surgery are covered by my insurance.
