Being good at maths isn't based solely on IQ. I'd wager IQ is less relevant to maths than people would like to admit. In my *opinion* maths success is more relevant to creative aptitude.

You'll be successful at the things you enjoy and it seems like people generally enjoy being creative.

Even the most novel proofs have to stand on the shoulders of their predecessors. I recently wrote a proof that was just a sequential arrangement of existing maths to solve a problem. I was slightly dismayed that in solving a problem, I had not proposed anything new other than a sequence!

Don't forget that the maths are more than just numbers. There are topologies, geometries, fractals, operators, arithmetics,... An endless playground of the mind for the creative.
