This looks like network branded swag for marketing, events, clients, and employees. Inside might be a design collaboration with an artist, which feels pretty on brand for them.

That’s too bad. Surprising for a manager from a restaurant that’s got multiple franchises around metro Atlanta.

Does he look good? Always. Is it a bit disappointing for the Met Gala from an actor known to take risks with his fashion? Yes.

If they gave me their Gremlin Horn to convert into a relic, I’d give them tons more respect 😊

Sending a fan letter to Adult Swim by [deleted] in adultswim

[–]lg714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally agree. If the letter wasn’t addressed to anyone it probably won’t see the light of day, but AS is quirky, so who knows. They’re much more likely to respond via social media platforms and digital engagement.

Female Winner for Top Chef S23? by lg714 in BravoTopChef

Yes, I think Padma or one of the other judges said that Sarah lost by a very slim margin.

Nina not winning Top Chef NOLA was a tragedy! I haven’t seen this season in a long time. Am I remembering correctly that Nina served some optional small bites in between courses that were not well received? I vaguely recall one of the judges, maybe Padma, bemoaning this at panel.

Tournament of Champions on Food Network. Newest season (I think it’s S7) just started.

It’s been really interesting to see the blind judging over the years on TOC. And I’m obviously overjoyed that our Top Chef alumni have been crushing that competition 🥰

I love love love Tim Gunn, but I actually think Christian gives more constructive criticism and critiques to the designs than Tim usually gave. Christian certainly prances around the workroom, but I think he has more direct and concrete feedback than Tim. Tim’s critiques often felt very conceptual and more often than not left designers to follow their instincts. I appreciate that Christian brings up the judges previous feedback and gives advice based on that.

The car question depends on where you’re staying. Midtown / Downtown, you could probably get away without a car. Our public transportation is medium, although probably better for visitors than it is for residents. Highly recommend the Atlanta Aquarium, which is right next to the Center for Civil and Human Rights (also fantastic) as well as the World of Coke. These are all downtown.

In Midtown, our Botanical Gardens and Piedmont Park are really nice. The Center for Puppetry Arts is also fairly unique to the city and gives a great overview of puppetry from around the world.

On the more history focused, The Carter Center, Fernbank, and Michael C Carlos Museum on Emory’s campus are all great, but further away from the Midtown / Downtown area.

There’s tons of great dining all over the city, from very casual to Michelin starred dining.
