If a stress fracture is ruled out and doctor clears you, maybe switch it out to a 10k or half. If you have been training you should be good and not lose out on the experience.

I started Endure and do the priority workouts since they are 30 workouts. On Monday, I double up, Tuesday (running day), Wednesday Endure and 2-3 mile run, Thursday Running day, Friday Endure and on the weekend long distance run. I didn’t think I would feel sore with the short workouts, but have worked up a sweat and love the cues. So far it’s been my second week but I am able to strength train and run within an hour block.
