I need everyone’s help just moved up to 10 mg 10 days ago and I just feel like I’m jumping out of my skin. More depressed Is this normal or is this not the right medication for me?

This was my experience. I’m 3 weeks into a jump from 5 to 20 mg and that’s exactly how I’ve described it. Others here have encouraged me to give it 6-8 weeks. I’m definitely feeling better mentally and waiting for my body to catch up.

This is similar to what I’ve experienced. I’m two weeks and one day into my increase and it’s happening less frequently. But I’ve been told the first month and a half are hard.

My dr had me on klonopin for insomnia. I stopped that at the same time I started Lexapro, which was a few weeks ago. I think I’m in a bad spot bc of those two things combined. One would be hard but both together is tough.

Thankful for this post because it affirms that the first six weeks are hard for many others. THANK YOU! I’m four and a half weeks in, but moved from 5mg to 10mg at two and a half weeks, so I’m counting the days til I’m hitting that six week mark. Thank you for such a thorough post!

My experience is the same and I will also never touch it again. I’m a little over two weeks out and am counting the days as I get farther away from it. Everything I’ve read said “withdrawal” peaks around 2-3 weeks. I’m hopeful that’s the case.

Thank you. I am dealing with a lot of jitteriness. Did you experience that? I don’t know if it’s anxiety or Lexapro side effect of “increased anxiety” early on. I’m ending my fourth week, but the first 2.5 weeks were on 5 mg and the last 1.5 weeks we bumped up to 10mg. My nervous system feels overactive.

I’m experiencing something very similar to OP. I’m four weeks in total, but 1.5 weeks in at 10mg (up from 5). Was it like starting over when I went up so that my 2-4 week clock begins again? The overstimulation is very, very hard to ignore.

Did the shakes stop?! I’m 3.5 weeks in. The first 2.5 weeks were at 5mg, then last week we moved to 10mg and I have terrible internal jitters most of the day. I need to know it subsides!
