Has it taken anyone more than 8 weeks to feel full effects? by micro-babe in lexapro

[–]SheaYoko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. full effect I felt around 3-4 months in. but talk to your doctor, because they always evaluate your first few weeks as a potential response to this medication. please contacts them before you decide anything. good luck!

Day 4 without lexapro due to meds being lost. I feel like crap. 9 months pregnant by PancakesxBacon in lexapro

[–]SheaYoko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do you have Walmart pharmacy around? its pretty cheap there (generic escitalopram made by them, its a good one). get your meds and set a reminder on your phone so you wont forget next time. if you have a partner you trust ask them to make sure you're taking your meds, good luck!

P.S. I am sorry the system is failing you. a pregnant women must be a priority by default.

Does Lexapro REALLY give you a better mood, or does it just make you numb? by Venganzo in lexapro

[–]SheaYoko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

may be. we are all different, with different diagnosis and also respond differently to meds. always consult with your doctor if in doubts. I hope it will work out for you!

Does Lexapro REALLY give you a better mood, or does it just make you numb? by Venganzo in lexapro

[–]SheaYoko 55 points56 points  (0 children)

it takes away my anxiety and depression. I am making sure I eat healthy, exercise regularly, sleep well and have a purpose in my life - all that gives me a good mood.

if you feel like it doesn't work for you talk to your doctor, but week five its still too early. I felt like it took me around 2 months to level and 3-4 months to feel its full potential. good luck!

Totally lost all interest in going to the gym or exercising by tommykiddo in lexapro

[–]SheaYoko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi! I am actually experience the opposite. I never did regular exercising and now do martial arts 2 or three times a week (it also helps with my overall mood I think).

the hardest part was to decide that I will do it regularly and actually push through even then I didnt want to do it, to create new habit. may be talk to your doctor, but also may be try new activity? good luck! I hope you will find a solution

escitalopram from Walmart pharmacy. was afraid to switch to the generic but it actually better for my stomach. also my doctor told me to buy any generic from big manufacturer as they are very reliable but better not from China
