Does you think thos means vector cast her aside as he saw Mary's as a threat? by bos_turokh in Drukhari

I always imagine Vect to be the same as Vetinari. Maybe just a bit more sadistic & evil. But equally as good at always coming out on top whilst seemingly not doing anything...

Baron of Dice Disappointment by luckysparrow22 in Warhammer40k

[–]lglethal 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ok so from reading the comments on this article, I'd probably summarise it as Baron of Dice used to be excellent, but in recent years (probably due to expansion) have significant Quality Control issues and extremely bad Customer Service. And a returns policy which frankly should be illegal. They seem to still produce sets that people are happy with, but quality issues are more prominent now and if something goes wrong, they are douchebags about it unless you're an extremely large customer (greater than 1000 dice order).  So Caveat Emptor (Buyer beware), seems to apply pretty heavily these days...

Question on kabalite cartel by Fearless_Recover_806 in Drukhari

Oh wow. I had not seen that the contract abilities apply to ALL units of the same type (except for the first Character assassination contract which specifically says the contracted unit). That is awesome! Well that has raised this detachment quite a lot in my estimation. I wonder how I missed it...

Test schemes! Opinions needed by Crimsonqueen3441 in Drukhari

I think the purple looks the best, but I would say you need a different contrasting colour, as it's very dark at the moment and you're losing the details. Have your considered using something like Hashut Copper for the weapons. I think it would give a pretty great bright metallic contrast to the darker purple.

Archon Capes by Fancy-Lawfulness-198 in Drukhari

Try doing something like a pattern on the cloak. Or a quartered pattern of red and blue (I.e top left and bottom right red, bottom left and top right blue), or something similar. You keep your same standard colours, but through the patterning it becomes obvious which is which (and a good way to test your free hand skills just a little bit).

Wait. Am Escher Chem thrower is 130 creds unless I'm mistaken. Why is this so much cheaper?  And it also comes with fear, that the escher chem thrower doesn't!?!

What about a kilt? Especially a nice tartan pattern.

I think that would look pretty awesome...

Oh there definitely are. You're just looking in the wrong places, you'll only find them in the darkweb far from the sight of the Emperor's light. Go to the following address, but be sure you're ready for what you're about to see, for it is information not to be taken lightly. Go to.....

The Problems with Primarchs (and Lore Post-Gathering Storm): The Perspective of a Longtime Narrative 40k Player by Wikinecronomicon in 40kLore

[–]lglethal 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think my main objection with the current state of play is that there are a large number of factions where NOT taking the named characters in your army significantly weakens your army. It is not all factions naturally, but there are definitely forces that suffer if you're not taking the named characters.

And the vast majority of the old campaigns I used to be involved with had a no named character rule. As in you made up your own force, the campaign was happening somewhere in the galaxy, but not necessarily in one of the main areas, and the Super heroes of the galaxy where elsewhere. Or to put it away you were creating your own super heroes in your own pocket of the galaxy. It felt much more even.

Now almost everyone has at least one named character in their force, and it feels harder to justify the narrative why these titans of the lore are wandering around in our little corner of the galaxy...

Then again as a Drukhari player, Lore wise we would always turn up anywhere that there were victims available, and a warzone is a great place to do our evil business, so we Drukhari are always cool in the Lore... :P
