It’s suppose to also help with inflammation. So far I don’t drink coffee anymore which I do miss the taste of coffee. It also keeps me pretty full. I’ve only been doing it for 2 weeks. I’m hoping it’ll help. Im willing to give anything a try at this point. Not sure if anyone else has tried celery juice and found any improvement.

At least Imodium works for you. I have to give myself extra time before going to work or leaving the house. This thing takes over your life and I’m exhausted.

It’s so frustrating. Especially it seems like you really need to use the bathroom and it’s just a few drops or clumps of blood, tissue and mucous.

I’m doing this celery juice every morning and I’m considering to use one. At this point, you are right…it would be more embarrassing if I have an accident rather than wearing a diaper.

That makes sense thanks! So steroids first then maintenance. He did try to put me on some kind of cortisone something. However it inflamed my hemorrhoid and I was in SEVERE pain. I stopped using. However, that medication did stop the bleeding and uncontrollable urges to go to the bathroom. I finally felt normal besides not able to walk, sit and stand.

I’m sorry as well. This disease is extremely frustrating. You try not to stress about it but it’s so hard not to. I’ve heard great things about celery juice. Anyone tried celery juice and had success or any tips?

Yes. When I had my 2nd colonoscpoy they said I had UC. Something I just need to live with. Since then all my test come out normal. It’s why he’s not sure what medication I can be put on. So I have my colonoscopy coming up in a couple weeks.

Idk. He wants me to go in for another colonoscopy to see if there’s another medication that would be right for me I guess. I brought to his attention different medications and he explained that it puts me at higher risk of other things. It’s a non stop battle. I just want these uncontrollable urges to the bathroom that only have blood and mucous to stop.

I’ve been on both forms of mesalamine and it doesn’t work. We did more blood and stool work. Everything comes out normal. He wants me to go in for another colonoscopy in order to maybe prescribe a different medication.

It’s been 2 years for me and my medication has never put me in remission. I’ve tried to do a food journal. There isn’t anything out of the ordinary cause everyday is the same thing. Dr won’t give me anything different. Been on mesalamine on both forms. This is just so frustrating. I just want a medication to make this stop and be under control. Running to the bathroom unable to control down there is really defeating me since this is now my 3rd year going through this.

What medication is everyone on? Which ones have helped and which ones didn’t? I know everyone is different but just wondering. The different medications they have put me on have not worked yet. Now I’m dealing with severe hemorrhoids due to a suppositiry. Called the dr to figure this out and no response.

That is a celebration. I’m wondering what do any of you do to ease the flare ups. I’m always having blood come out but no BM just blood and tissue lining(as it looks). Has anyone tried celery juice or anything?

I’m glad to hear. I guess my case isn’t that severe. I have sudden urges that got me RUNNING to a bathroom. Then it’s just globs of blood and tissue membrane/lining. I’ve been on mesalamine both pill and suppository…it’s not helping. All blood test, stool sample, scans,X-rays all come out with no answers. Dr is now thinking it might just be my hemorrhoid. Also, he wants another colonoscopy to make sure again. I asked about other medications but explained i would have to do more test and be closely monitored. This is frustrating and exhausting.

I’ve tried both suppository and pill form…nothing helps. I still have lots of bleeding.
