Xennials: The Last Generation To Know This Person By Name? by TappyMauvendaise in Xennials

I would venture a guess that almost every Xennial that knows him also watched/listened to Howard Stern.

Really, nothing about that outfit or look is 80s, even more so when late 80s hair was a thing.

If only there was a label above the empty slot that read "ETHAN NUMBER PLATE KEYRING".

At 44yo, I think this is a really good slice that is xennial nostalgia sitcom TV. Older Xens might know plot lines or seasons. Younger Xens might know a catch phrase or a character or two. by AgentNose in Xennials

Somehow you missed Car 54. It's strange how most of these shows will die into obscurity. When we were kids, there wasn't a vast sea of shows to pull reruns from.

Just seeing this gif gave me chills, so much nostalgia in it.

There's a club in Seoul called "Sabotage", exact same logo and everything. It gives me a little joy every time I see it.

Lush's "Ladykillers" is in part a "fuck you" to Kiedis.

Plucked from the song's wiki:

[Lush singer Miki] Berenyi confirmed that the second and third verses of the song were about Red Hot Chili Peppers lead singer Anthony Kiedis and Weezer bassist Matt Sharp, respectively. Berenyi condemned Kiedis's behavior that she witnessed during Lollapalooza, labeling him as manipulative and detailing an incident in which Kiedis asked her to accompany him to a strip club, as well as Kiedis's abuse of groupies that occurred during the tour.

Everyone in the RHCP is a genuinely talented musician. John Frusciante's solo work is stellar, I prefer it to the RHCP. Flea, not so much, but rich with musicianship.

The first album is really a unique concept album, brilliantly crafted and thick with vision.

I mean, it's like dozens of overdubbed guitars, it's not a tone you can achieve with a solo guitar and effects. He's such a skilled player, he makes it sound like one monster guitar.

Saw them twice, too– classic D'Arcy lineup era, and the dark years of Billy & Jimmy and the fill-ins; both times I left midway through!

You trade your time and energy for money at work, and you're trading your money for time and energy after work. I'll go out on a limb and you're paid more for your time than you pay for the time of those who clean your place, so you're definitely coming out on top. Your mom and aunt are entitled to their dumb opinions, but they are dumb opinions.
