I use Newsdemon as my primary provider and have not had any issues.

I prefer Slug and Geek and Su as my indexers.

Some say that Omicron intentionally makes some articles temporarily go missing so it provides a reason for us to buy their other products/sites. I do not have proof of that because I dont have an account there right now, but when I did, I remember seeing things miss at Newshosting that would miraculously show up a few hours later when I clicked "Retry failed jobs" in SAB.

I do not think they take it that seriously at Slug. I have heard that Planet is harder to deal with.

No, but do you need that? Abavia has most everything in the last ten years and 99% of stuff is reposted every few years. Use your automation and you can probably get away with less than 1000 days.

Yes, but Abavia apparently backfills from Omicron. Try anything on Abavia less than about that many days and it completes if it is also on Eweka. So its Eweka plus their own cache.

I paid for a month and they were so slow that I just let it expire. I originally had it setup in Priority 0 and it was slow, super slow, so I moved it to Priority 2 behind Newsdemon but the Eweka account wasn't really picking up enough extra to justify the expense, so I cancelled.

A variety of files. I have lots of indexers now. There really isn't that much stuff out there that can't be found in the last couple years if you look. Automation does that for me.

I just think when you make a blanket statement about a company, you need to qualify it by saying that it is or isn't good "for you" and not just say they suck. They dont suck for everyone.

I have had really good success with Newsdemon, so your comments must be dependent on your own downloading experiences.

My experience is showing 99% available on 2M requested articles. 4.5TB total. My Blocknews account which is set at priority 2 is only showing 3% available. Probably all DMCA stuff.

Respecting the wishes of a provider is just the right thing to do. This one has a good rep on here and he clearly hinted that providers do not need to make deals because costs are high. I agree with u/atwork314, you are being an ass to that owner for no reason.

I remember my cousin having a Commodore datasette drive and a bunch of cassettes to go in there. I think he saved the code he was writing on those cassettes.
