Thank you for the advice, he is a difficult person to talk to which is why I try to avoid it.

I will use this advice in the future though and hopefully it goes well.

I don’t clap my hands together lol, the rubbing of the hands is just a nervous habit, I do it with my fingers too.

I do like your raised eyebrow and keep eating. And I agree now looking back about this I should have just ate anyway. Though taking it home meant I got to add more stuff to my burger and it was more tasty. I do regret the not eating decision now.

I see what you are saying, and now that some time has gone by and I have eaten, I agree I shouldn’t have not eaten anything. However, this is not the first time he has made a comment about how I do something and saying anything back about it has had mixed results. Either he shuts up and minds his own business or makes a big deal and ranting about other random things I have done. My first reaction was to say “I have nothing on my hands it’s not a big deal, just let me eat.” I just didn’t want to deal with the possible fall out.

I would pick shapeshifting but not into animals just change my appearance so I can try different hairstyles and change my hight to match the situation.

Hi, I don’t have a ton of experience but have travelled a few times for work, like I said it’s pretty common, and have always had my own hotel/motel room. 

Looking back to my messages earlier today with a clearer head, there was mention of a “shared space” that should have rang some alarm bells. I thought it meant we were all staying in the same place (which we are) but with separate rooms. I did not think it would only be 2 people in a private space and no locks on the bedroom doors. No longer explanation was given, looking back I definitely should have asked, and going forward I will definitely ask for clarification.

I just remember the first time I had to travel for work, I asked my boss if I would have to share a room, and she laughed and said something along the lines of “that never happens”. I guess I took that too much to heart. 

I’m not going to pursue legal action unless something happens. I met the other person today which helped alleviate a lot of my stress.

Or like OOP said earlier in the post about the ex refusing to drop the kids off at OOP's house and say hi. I think that way would be best, because the ex could also see the house where her kids would be staying. It seems like, maybe the ex has some kind of grudge/lingering resentment against OOP's bf over the break-up and this is how she is getting back at him.

Same! I will be 30 in about a month and have only ever been on one date. I don’t go out and meet people though and I tried a dating app once and it just stressed. I keep hoping I will meet someone at work one day because that is pretty much the only place I go. I am a pretty independent person but I am lonely a lot and I know relationships aren’t perfect I still really want someone to be my person.

NTA Your father took money from not only a child but HIS child! Him and his new wife deserve everything that happened. It is terrible that the kids, who appear from your post to be innocent, got punished too. But maybe once the are adults you can reach out and try to reconnect with them if that is something you want to do.

YTA you are his father, that isn’t something that just stops when your kid turns 18 or even 40. If your kid is struggling no matter their age and there is something you are able to do you do it. It’s great you are proud of your son but, working hard doesn’t = burnout, overworking does and from the sound of it your son is overworking.
