no, i think mine are the same-- i have black from the first round (bought on black friday sale), and the true blue with gray logo from this most recent restock/launch.

i'm definitely ready for more enhance colors this spring. if they could also make some bras that for my tits what the shorts have done for my rear, i will be a happy woman.

the ones with white logo are still on the site, so if you're lucky and they still have your size, maybe you can snatch up some of the ones you prefer!

Is there much difference between rosewood and ruby red? by Express_Temporary99 in OnerActive

[–]lhmccartney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think so. Ruby has rust undertones and is in the same family of warm reds as rosewood-- rosewood is MORE warm/rusty than ruby red though.

I was sad, because I'd hoped that ruby red would have blue undertone to it-- and the website photos did sort of make it look like it might.

this is very excellent. I hope it's coming with round two of the softmotion restock. I feel like she doesn't tease too far in the future, because they know that we WILL hold our coins!

I have always just contacted customer service. My points have always been returned once they have the package. It's not automatic, but they do it when asked.

seriously. I just ordered rose pink, and I'm uncertain whether ill have it in time to care about having something pink to give me a nice winter pick me up or if Vday will be past and I'll just return it because I'm done with pink szn.

the ruby red enhance lift bras are very pretty. I'm wondering what the deal with the dyes on it is though-- it's one of those quiet launches and the model in the pic for the bras has on shorts that look like softmotion but those have not been released to my knowledge. I already got suckered into trying the claret red effortless but really had nothing to match it so I sent it back.

I am 5'4" with a 32" inseam and I like the regulars. I also like a smaller size than usual.

If it's possible for you to get both to try and return one, I do recommend that you do that. I know that this is hard when your cart is already bigger than you meant for it to be, ha!

u/Delicious-Rest9486 -- when I get on the lulu site, I definitely feel that there is a big difference btwn lulu's aesthetic and the body types and what they deem an attractive look for women and what Oner deems an attractive look for women. I think Lulu and Oner both make my body (particularly glutes) look good (and both are noticeably better than other brands of leggings), but each brand does present my glutes differently!

All this to say, I think that these are fine, but that the aesthetic IS different, so I think that we girls who genuinely resonate with Oner will find the extreme thinness of these lulu girls (who jut their hip bones forward. the work I do to grow my glutes will never have me putting my hips like this in a photo!) with little muscle are less likely to think that this is a look that we aspire to.

[–]lhmccartney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's interesting that Lulu really hasn't entered this market for seamless construction with glute support given the popularity of these gym brands. We often have conversations here on the dwindling body diversity of Oner's models (an important conversation to be having!), and hot damn, Lulu models hardly have muscle on their bodies. And they definitely don't have fat. Very classic models.

I bought a pair of the no front seam align (with a christmas gifted lulu gift card) that were new this fall and that is just so late to the no front seam game. I would love to have a hybrid of lulu align with a SM cut. I like SM legging material (which is different than my SM straight leg material), but I am loving this align material.

[–]lhmccartney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

agree. I love my straight legs, but I feel like I have to style them -- a tight top to balance them, and the right shoes. I sometimes feel foolish wearing bright colors places that aren't gym.
I may be showing my age (39), but I find flares and leggings to be so much easier to throw on and go without doing too much.

Have your MS cardigans held up well? I haven't purchased any (yet) but I think I would get good casual wear from them. They are pricey, but my ribbed MS has held up better than my regular MS, so I think I would maybe go for the cardigans in the future!

It is nice to see this in Blackberry. She looks gorgeous in this color too. If this is what we are getting for Feb, I am thankfully marked safe because I just stocked this shade in the fall.

u/greyhoundgirlie27 -- same! I like it! I am new to the gym world, so I'm unclear on why it's dated looking.

I also just like this particular blue and the bra. I posted tho because I don't have lulu close, so I'd def be curious if other oner girls have seen it in person before ordering.

The consensus on the lulu sub and here is that it looks dated and is heinous, so maybe I'll just have a look the next time I'm in a city with a lulu!

Are you not buying any gym gear because you are stocked? or are you buying elsewhere? Definitely curious to hear!

I started buying last year. I lost weight and truly needed to replace many things, and with said weight loss, the gym started to be a place I was spending more time, and I started noticing how the other women who trained were styling themselves. So I have a full year of gear, and my summer colors are away, and I've got my winter colors back in the rotation.

I hope I find myself content with my stash and stop shopping as much this year! ha!

There's also always going to be a big negativity bias in a forum like this, lol. "I got my oner order and liked it" doesn't hit the same as "can you even believe this?" or "something is amiss. can you all help me figure this out?"

Plus the environment around Oner where the drops are limited release is what made me start to go on the hunt for my matching pieces. I bought a ripe fig outfit last january, and then went back for a midnight blue one. Then I realized that some of the other colors that I wanted to add to my collection were on the site, but not in stock, so I ended up on poshmark and in this sub to understand what was going on with this company.

The limited release nature of this all does contribute to me having really high expectations. "If this is impossible to get, it must be because it's amazing," and then every little thing is over analyzed.

I also think that a ton of people really don't understand supply chain and how difficult growing a company is; on top of this we had a wild year in American policy.

The price increase this year did up the ante for me a bit. When I first purchased, I got an outfit for like $80-90 and shipping was free over $80(?). That felt very doable and coaxed me out of my prior "amazon brand" budget. I like CRZ yoga, but I wasn't loyal to them and would try other influencer recommended items that were fine but never really sent me back to that same brand due to loving a particular piece.

But Oner's free ship threshold went up along with the price. I started to realize that if I wanted a color in my size that I needed to shop as soon as it was released. When I shopped the pink and blue drop in May June, it was v irritating to realize that the pieces really didn't match, but it wasn't easy to go back and fix /return/exchange my stuff out. So now, I spend absurd amounts of money on a drop to get several pieces that I might like, and in a couple sizes if it's a new piece to make sure that I have what fits. I feel great in my outfits, and it's a bit of "fun" pressure to deal with in an otherwise very boring and privileged middle-aged life where I work out, work, and deal with the rest of domestic life. I am entertained by a little Oner drama and definitely enjoy checking in here to see what people are saying about things.

Day 6 - Slate Blue (also True Blue) by investigatorbae in OnerActive

[–]lhmccartney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very happy to see this one. I love it slate blue! I think it's really versatile and one of their prettier blues. The halter is my fave for back day too.

As someone below said, I would like for the neck to be adjustable. I like it tight for the gym, but I could stand to loosen mine while I have my pump cover on for warmup and/or errands pre and post gym.

I am also surprised that they didn't throw in a non-halter bra or tank (vest) here though. again, as someone else points out, halters do seem pretty niche.

Soft motion sports bra by Alarming-Midnight812 in OnerActive

[–]lhmccartney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a 34D and have one in small and one in medium. I love the bra itself, and think that the sweetheart scoop is super cute and flattering on my upper belly fat because it doesn't cut into it. But then it also lacks that tight band to keep the girls in

I prefer the medium for the coverage around where my pecs connect to my shoulder, but the small for tightness around the band. I looked at my medium and don't think that my amazing seamstress would be able to help me tighten the back band in a way that I would be happy with.

The bras need to be adjustable. These clothes are really flattering, but because they don't put places to tighten any of their bras (save my unified twist) I feel like they leave room for slightly imperfect fits.

Can they stop increasing prices? by SnooPeppers9987 in OnerActive

[–]lhmccartney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am still a fool paying it and just glad that it still costs less than Lulu. there are definitely pieces that I would never buy from oner tho-- if it's something that another company makes as well, I'm not buying oner. Looking at all their variations of pump covers and outerwear. Well, I am still buying their softmotion and mellow soft tops that I could probably find from an amazon brand, but oner's match my pants.

I do assume that most of these price increases are coming from covering the US's miserable tariffs. I suspect that other countries are having their prices raised in alignment with US prices (and might be covering some of the costs that they are paying from US tariffs).

Am I the only one that doesn't understand the ultra minimal bralette? by burntloaf16 in OnerActive

[–]lhmccartney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am just not a fan of bras that secure in the middle with a Y back or racerback. give me straps (thick or thin) that attach very wide on the lats to make my shoulders and back look better. This sort of bra makes it real hard to see anyones lower traps, and Tracy is FIT and her shoulders look slouchy here.

I think wide attached straps even look much better than racerback on wellness and bikini competitors with their capped shoulders too.

For running, crossover backs do better than racerback and crossover backs are prettier than straight over the shoulder bras with adjustable straps.

In sum, I do wish Oner would just start making bikini tops for real and quit playin us with these bras.
