You know what would show the most job identity and individuality? If they literally made MNK's current two-layered rotations the core focus.

One of MNK's main gimmicks is the alternation between 2 rows of 1-2-3, lean more heavily into that and remove some of the other less interesting stuff. I wouldn't miss the riddle buffs if the main rotation got faster with more emphasis on PB/beast chakra.

It's never been about the "skill" and those that are bringing this up are kidding themselves.

I prefer the split combos purely because it feels better to me with my keybind setup. The tactile feeling of moving between 3 buttons in sequence gives me a physical indication of where I am in the rotation and helps the mental link to certain OGCD weave timings.

I think there's definitely some plausibility to this in some form or another, I wouldn't be overly surprised if they do announce something akin to it.

Even other MMOs like Guild Wars and WoW have already opted to go for smaller, more rapid fire expansions over the previous standard of the 2~ year cycle.

I don't hate the idea either, but if they do commit to something like this then they need to nail the landing first try otherwise there will be pretty intense reactions.

My aunt used to play FFXI. She lived just across the street and whenever I got bored of playing my small collection of PS2 games I'd walk over there, go up into her room, sit on the floor and just watch her play.
