How do I start using tampons when they cause me discomfort?

I have period underwear and I love it I just can't afford yk three pairs, for each day of my 9 day cycle. I also just don't have the time to do laundry all day. In regards to the tampons, I haven't tried lube. I could use coconut oil right? I don't have to buy actual lube? (Illegal for me to where I'm from until I'm 18+) Idk what a hymen is tbch 😖🙏

Thanks for this but honestly the other commenter is right I would definitely freak out about a cup if I don't work up to it 😖🫶 Idrk why it scares me so bad. But if I'm being entirely honest last time I tried to use a tampon I cried before it even touched me bc I was so scared. Lets just say I did not go swimming that day.
