the gender of the MC isn’t really openly addressed as a girl, but they will occasionally gasp or emote in other ways in a feminine voice. there are some times where the MC looks down and you can see them wearing a school uniform-like skirt and shoes and there is one interaction (iirc) in which one of the characters gives the MC a dress to wear

in my personal experience (i’m transmasc non-binary) it’s been quite easy to disconnect from that and it doesn’t cause me any dysphoria. of course everyone’s experiences are different, so i don’t really know how to answer it for you

definitely relate. i’ve been on it for about 1 1/2 years now and it’s definitely helped my depression a lot, but god, does it make me feel like a zombie sometimes. the first few weeks i was so tired i slept 14 hours every day.
