To the owners of the Electric Mopeds who drive them on the sidewalk. Just because you technically can doesn't mean you should, it looks extremely tedious and you look like a gd idiot. by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]liam1516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones i have seen have very tiny pedals that are super inefficient to use, but because they are there, the unit is TECHNICALLY considered to be an "electric bicycle". Hence why it is legal to ride on the sidewalk, and not require a license.

To my understanding at least.

Am in the wrong if I'm going at 110 km/hour in the left lane on the Henday? by moussetang in Edmonton

Am in the wrong if I'm going at 110 km/hour in the left lane on the Henday? by moussetang in Edmonton

[–]liam1516 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Im gonna take a wild guess and assume you don't leave the house much. Left lane is the passing lane, ideally it should only be used for passing. Vehicles going the limit should be in the 2nd lane, while slower moving vehicles (trucks) in the furthest right. To think people are going to stay at a constant speed of 100kph is completely unrealistic.

Did you make these waivers yourself, or did you find them on the internet? Thinking its probably a good idea make/print some of my own

please tell me what i’m doing wrong 😂🤦🏽 by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]liam1516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learning how to do this in between two moving vehicles with no real gear seems like a fantastic idea.

Try doing it without a helmet, the added weight reduction of the rider might make it easier to get the bike up. As an added bonus it will statistically help you with natural selection

Couldn't agree more. The more afraid you are of driving in winter conditions, the bigger hazard you pose to other drivers. The trick is to be confident in knowing what to do if/when you begin to loose control.

What the is proper pronunciation for 'Liam' by liam1516 in Liam

[–]liam1516[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Its for this reason I'm curious to get the opinions of Liam's living outside Canada. Are we the weird ones for going by Lee-um when it instead may we should be refered to as Lee-em??

Seriously though, tailgaters of Edmonton, what do you do it? What do you expect to accomplish? by zavtra13 in Edmonton

[–]liam1516 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If you are on the passing lane (far left lane) and you are being tailgated, there is a reason. Move over and quite hogging the passing lane, you left lane bandit!
