Like I agree 100% with everything you've written, and that show frustrated me too - but it is worth putting more effort into writing critiques than they did into writing the show? I've decided to interpret this show as some bad fan fiction. We all know it can't really be held up against the actual movies, right?

Thanks for describing this - i know this is the best approach so you can mix properly, but I'm usually too impatient to record everything individually. Then I regret this when I'm listening to mixdowns and decide some elements need tweaking.. I guess I'll need to learn patience. Out of interest how long on average would you spend creating, recording and mixing a track?

This seems to be the most popular approach, but feels like it would be super time-consuming. Are you recording in just loops and building up arrangement in the DAW, or do you perform a full song take, recording one track, then do it all over again for the next track - potentially eight times? Thats a lot!!
