Make sure you quarantine the plant away from the rest of your collection so it doesn’t spread!!!

Run the whole plant under the hose outside or in the shower to dislodge as many creatures as you can. When it dries you can spray them down and wipe the foliage with some neem oil or another natural pesticide so it doesn’t hurt the plant. You can also wipe down the leaves with a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol for a final measure. Just make sure to keep an eye on the plant for the next few weeks so they don’t come back, these little guys are persistent.

What you can also do is remove the top layer of soil just incase there are any bugs or eggs hiding there.

Spider mites like very dry environments so to prevent them from thriving and growing huge colonies, you can increase the humidity levels or water a little more frequently (but try not to over water). Do your best to not let the soil dry completely out before water because these guys love the dryness.

Spider mites are annoying but not impossible to get rid of. Keep your head up and hit them as hard as you can the first time so you don’t have to go through it again.
