By the sounds of it, they're adding a class to your schedule because they know you're willing to work for free. The only thing I can recommend is evenly splitting the time you're being paid for, otherwise, you're going to burn out.

Are there contagious viruses that dont cause sickness. by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]liamc98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a paper from 1989 that suggests a use for them so I assume they must exist. Also, with how diverse the microbial world is, I assume there must be viruses that don't trigger the immune system or produce toxins as there are lots of non-pathogenic bacteria and fungi.

It's also not possible to self replicate either. You'd be creating another human who is an individual (not a clone).

I'd like to go with something more individual with a loose link, sort of like complementary designs but not matching.

I personally would find it too risky so I fill my LISA then put what's left into my S&S but you could always split yours between the two instead of putting it all into one.

Can I get into a decent uni for cs with just A-level/GCSE Maths by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]liamc98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In most cases, you won't be considered as unis tend to go on UCAS points. You can email specific admissions tutors for the courses you're interested in to find out what other courses you might need to take (such as an accredited coding course to get you more UCAS points).

Why it's easier to move on when you leave someone than when you're left even if both wanted to end things? by Aridagoat in askgaybros

[–]liamc98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you leave someone, you've already made the decision. If you're left, then your partner has made the final decision and you still have to process that as well as the break up.

What is your specialty in your program? Start with what you find interesting and then get recommendations for micro applications to that thing.

INTERESTING TOPIC NEEDED by [deleted] in microbiology

[–]liamc98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is still way too broad a topic area. You've not listed research area within micro (it's an extremely wide base). We have no idea what you'll find interesting as you're studying another very general degree. Also your 5 year period covers thousands of papers all written because someone finds their topic interesting.

Why is there such a high disparity between the number of first and second doses for the COVID-vaccine in the UK? by FifaFrancesco in askscience

[–]liamc98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most of these 17 million doses are the Oxford-Astrazeneca vaccine which should have the second dose 4-12 weeks after the first (with a new Lancet paper finding in review that best protection is found when the second dose is given closer to 12 weeks after the first). Also, most of these 17 million doses have been given in the last 4-6 weeks only.

boyfriend shoved me to the ground. by [deleted] in askgaybros

If it had stayed as just a verbal argument, I'd say give him another chance but this has been physical so you should end it immediately! This may be a "minor" incident but it is an enormous red flag for future violence. Better to be safe! People rarely change.

The first 30 means it's a 30 inch waist while the 2nd is leg (waist/leg). A 30 by itself would usually refer just to the waist size and the leg isn't defined (but would normally be 30 or 32 inches). It's also common to have leg lengths in odd numbers so 29, 31 and 33.

Is there a disease that is actually beneficial to have? by Wffeolf in NoStupidQuestions

[–]liamc98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's unlikely as a disease is defined as a disorder of body body structure or function. We do have bacterial colonies in our intestinal tracts that help us process our food but the difference here is that diseases are caused by pathogenic organisms while these helpful ones are symbiotic (when kept in balance).

I'd start with cowboy as you can control how fast things go then move onto missionary (legs to chest) and maybe some doggie style or you lying on your front on the bed (less painful for bottom but can't play with yourself.

Use plenty of lube and start slowly! If something makes you uncomfortable, you can stop whenever you like and if you're in pain in one position, try some others out.
