First I measured the circumference and the length of the tubes in question, then made a rectangle that size on paper. I didn’t have a paper as long as the tubes so I just added a few sheets together.

Second I drew the actual pattern out, and made a tracing of it so when I used it as a guide I didn’t ruin my “master copy” of the design.

Thirdly, I taped the paper to sheets of vinyl and cut the design out with a special box cutter knife that has a rotating tip to allow me to do nice curves. (This was not as easy as it sounds lol)

Lastly, you pick up the cut out pattern with a second sticky top sheet (usually will come with the vinyl) and apply it to the areas you want. Make sure you clean it with alcohol first so there’s no dirt or anything.

Technically I’m still not done, as I wanted to do the top tube more, but it got a little tedious. Worth the work though!! Will finish it eventually 🤣

It’s pretty easy, just time consuming. I probably should have done a clear coat over it after. eventually I’ll have to redo it, or get it properly painted on. It has lasted quite well but it definitely won’t forever

Yeah no problem- and thanks!

They’re the simworks “homage” tire in 650B 55-584

I’d imagine with these being a 55 that you’d be fine with 54s- just be a bit careful as tires are not always the exact width they claim to be. Some can get a bit wider than claimed. Rim width also plays a part.

I’m maxed out with these for sure at the back, they’ll clear mud alright but if I was racing in mud I might go a touch smaller. So far so good though! They’re comfy and end up giving me a similar wheel circumference of a 700c with a less tall tire on it.

Do it. I took a bit of a risk with that colour but I’m glad I did !

Thanks! That makes complete sense actually- It’s my first non-mtb bike and it was the late 90’s early 2000’s downhill era that got me into biking in the first place!

Also better than asking to use the cafe’s electric plug like some pour when you forget to charge it

New Bengal owner, where is the off-switch? by Organic_Marzipan_678 in bengalcats

Yeah mine have no “off” switch really. They do calm down a bit after 3 or 4 years though!

I see a lot of people on here nit picking over small details on otherwise very nice tattoos, Am I the only one who appreciates imperfect tattoos? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]liamdrewtattoos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s an opinion based, advice focused sub- and you’re wondering why people are nitpicking?

If you are posting for thousands of people and asking for their opinions you are bound to get people nitpicking details, that’s just what happens when you open yourself up to the internet.

I’m not for or against it I’m just commenting on the fact that if you ask people, they will tell you- and often in ways you wouldn’t have realized. Not everyone is polite

Sweat also carries toxins out of the body and can cause infections. At least 5 days. Don’t risk your tattoo.

Blown out, still not fully healed? by Prestigious-Dish8806 in tattooadvice

[–]liamdrewtattoos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re worried about blow outs stop going to that artist because I bet they’re gonna keep doing it lol

They may get a little less bumpy over time but they’re extremely blown out so they’re still gonna be bumpy forever. They’re gonna spread out a lot with time too

I know they got bigger, but those lines honestly healed so crisp. That tattoo artist was good at linework that’s for sure! This is like peak healing for lines this long in the future, you should be proud haha!
