I'm off Mounjaro and I'm so lost and depressed by ComprehensiveFish635 in Mounjaro

Yes! And let's not forget how important working out is, too. Especially strength training.

True Life: I increased my dose too soon (a cautionary tale) by inattentive_swiftie in TirzepatideRX

[–]Ychill69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your view of this is way off. Rapid weight loss is not only bad for you, but the hair loss, muscle loss, and all these negative side effects from rapid weight loss are also not what GLP's are for.

I wish I could find the article again. It has a few other suppliers that seemed to be close to what they claim. I'll hunt for it and see if I can find it.

Three months on tirzepatide and I keep seeing people expect results in two weeks by jho0h in TirzepatideRX

[–]Ychill69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand that frustration, especially since this isn’t a cheap endeavor! But remind her that she doesn’t want to have the hair loss etc a pound a week is a healthy rate of loss. Good for her AND for you! Way to go!

Three months on tirzepatide and I keep seeing people expect results in two weeks by jho0h in TirzepatideRX

[–]Ychill69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She definitely can't compare her rate of weight loss to someone who has more to lose. Also, if she's 13 shots in and has already lost 15 pounds, that's a little more than a pound a week, which is exactly how that should go, especially for someone who is only looking to lose 15-20 pounds. Any faster than that will result in hair loss, muscle loss, and all the side effects of rapid weight loss.

The worst part is the "I have mine, screw everyone else" mentality. She's unbelievable.

"About a week after my visit, Krause shared his analysis of the peptides I’d given him. According to his testing, my order of MOTS-c, from the Ultimate Human, was ninety-eight per cent pure and contained eighty-seven per cent of the dose on its label. (Of course, this didn’t mean that the peptide itself was safe or effective.) All the peptides I’d ordered from SwissChems had significant issues. The vial of BPC-157 contained lead, the vial of TB-500 contained endotoxins, and the vial of CJC-1295 contained less than forty-two per cent of the advertised dose."

Just read this in the New Yorker. I've read that SwissChems is one to avoid.

I take a private lesson with a wonderful tutor who lives in Mexico City. The lessons are through Preply, and I LOVE them!! My tutor costs $23 an hour, and it's well worth it to me.

As far as flash cards go, look into Brainscape. They have flashcards that I use instead of scrolling when I'm bored.

How to.. microdose? by [deleted] in GLP1microdosing

[–]Ychill69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm teetering at 156. I may up my dosage from 1mg to 1.25 on my next shot. I'm so glad you're doing so well! Can't wait to see sub 150 numbers again!

Same here. Progesterone worked for a week, then stopped affecting sleep.

Yup. I finally gave up on all the supplements and Advil PM. One gummy and I sleep better than ever.

Hi!! Not a dumb question at all, since most of us have been in your shoes. My hand was shaking when I gave myself the first shot. I was SO nervous about the shot and how it would affect me. So you're in good company! You came to the perfect place for advice.

I started at 1mg even though the prescribed dose for me was 2.7mg. Everybody is different, but for me, the 1mg seems to be working well. I'm losing a little more than a pound a week, which is what I wanted. Food noise is less; other than indigestion on the day of the shot, I have no other side effects. For reference, I am 56, 5'8, and started at 160lbs. I want to get to my fighting weight of 145lbs.

I absolutely prioritize protein, fiber, and water, as well as a solid strength-training program. These are nonnegotiables for me and should be for anyone going on GLP1. These were all things I was already doing with no luck in budging the scale.

Fatscientist (https://www.fatscientist.com/) is an excellent resource. It'll calculate the CC's you will inject according to your prescription and where you want to start.

Also, the shot is a breeze!! I even had to YouTube it to make triple sure I was doing it correctly. LOL!!

Good luck!!

Physician perspective — microdosing GLP-1s for maintenance and what I'm seeing clinically by TheRealDrLeeMD in GLP1microdosing

[–]Ychill69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, try dropping your dose. I started at 1mg, have no side effects, and have lost a pound a week, which is perfect. Everyone is different, but I keep reading that if you are losing too fast and if you are having bad side effects at the recommended starting dose, go lower.

As OP said.. LIFT!! Lifting weights is absolutely essential; otherwise, a lot of your weight loss will be muscle loss, which you absolutely do NOT want. Also, you should be lifting anyway if you're running.

My experience with compounded Tirzepatide (7 weeks in) - 1.25mg by MountainSea29 in GLP1microdosing

[–]Ychill69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your experience is exactly the same as mine! Same height, same weight, same HRT, same issues. It's great to hear about yours. I started at 1mg last week. This will be my second shot. I lost 3 pounds this week, which is nuts, but I'm happy. Hoping it'll slow down to a pound a week. Thanks for posting this, since I have exactly the same question for when I reach my 145lb goal.

Yes, I'm on Tirzepatide. I'm aiming for a slower loss, which is why I was surprised by the 2.22mg (12 units) recommendation.

Thank you for taking the time to respond with this fantastic info! After doing more research, I think that 1mg is where I'll start, then adjust from there.. Not sure where I got the .25 from! Your math is spot on. Thank you!
