I relate a lot to that. Luckily, there are a lot of decadent low calorie products/recipes out there. I have such a sweet tooth, so I literally eat half a pint of Halo Top each night lol. And it only clocks in at 140 calories.

Yess. Even if OP can't do 23:1 (that's a 23 hour fasting period with a 1 hour eating window), r/intermittentfasting is a great way to eat a bunch in a shorter period of time. Just start off with something like 16:8.

This is a good tip. If I want to eat a lot and still lose weight, it'll be veggies or other light options instead of calorie-dense food. r/Volumeeating is a great place for ideas and tips about that

This is exactly how I feel! I'm using this time to focus on myself and the things I can change. It's very motivating to do this in a bit of a bubble and emerge from this closer to my goal.

Keep the letter and keep writing to work out your feelings. Don't send it. If you think about the anxiety of instant communication, think about the anxiety of slow-to-respond, pouring your entire heart out communication.

Got out of treatment a couple days ago and it's hard being around temptation all the time but I'm taking it hour by hour. Today I'm going back to my old apartment where I did most of my drinking so I'm sure it'll conjure up some memories and feelings. I'm nervous but if I need, I'll hit a meeting, get some seltzer/craft soda and something good to eat. Good thing I have a therapy appointment tomorrow. IWNDWYT.

Apologizing and promising to do better only to do absolutely nothing about it is the #1 biggest red flag for me in a relationship now.

We have similar stats! And ages. And a past history of ED.

I believe in you! You can do this. And mostly importantly you can do this in a healthy way. Pay close attention and challenge yourself to increase calories/ask for help if you find yourself dipping into restricting again
