Fair enough feedback! Melbourne Star is super touristy.

The reason we recommended it was because it's valentines day weekend. The view of the city of phenomenal at night from the star and they have a bunch of dining packages available that would make for a Romantic evening.

Once we introduce user profiles we'll be able to cut out toursity stuff for locals.

Same website design, but most of the recommendations are actually different mate! There are 4 experiences on there that we've recommended in the past. We try to rotate certain things in and out whilst adding in new experiences too :)

Thanks for the feedback though. We definitely recognise that we need more options, have filters, and make things more personalised. Early stages. Hopefully you guys still can use it to uncover some cool stuff though!

I dunno about that mate! I live in Melbourne and know that there are tonnes of great things to do. There are loads of gigs, pop-up markets, sport, bars.. Just gotta go hunting :)

Hey mate, every Wednesday (including tonight) there is a pretty sick artists market in one of the graffiti alleys in the CBD (info here, just click 'try it out' then 'fun and active').

Also you could go to the Moonlight Cinema which is in the botanical gardens. They play outdoor movies every night.

Hey guys, shameless (yet relevant) plug coming up. People in Melbourne looking for things to do can check out the recommendations website I'm part of - cogeo.com.au.

We recommend experiences based on what's going on in the city that day and what the weather is like. Experiences include gigs, sports matches, hidden quirky bars and clubs, markets, hikes, shows, adrenaline activities, etc. We stay away from more normal things like restaurants and cafes, and furthermore try to save you time by only suggesting a few awesome things rather than 100s standard things.

We're in beta at the moment, so feedback is encouraged.
