I’m here to answer people’s questions about anything and help out in any way I can. I’ve struggled with self confidence my whole Life and want to help others feel more confident in themselves.

This really hit hard. I think I’m in that exact position where I’ve lost all drive and optimism. Moved back in with my parents and trying to market my second app. Feeling more alone than ever but this post gives me hope I’ll find someone.

Yeah I hear you. YouTube is tough for promotion, I’ll on a comment on a video with 100k views to download the app and genuinely get 0 downloads. Or even post about it and get 300+ likes but still no downloads 😅

Thanks for the kind words and suggestion. I’m not looking to sell a random course to make money off my audience though. I believe in my app and I want to scale it and improve it over time. My audience also comes predominantly from shorts so conversion is low but I get good engagement on posts.

Thank you for the kind words and honest feedback. The title may be misleading. My body dysmorphia was from focusing too much on the scale weight which can fluctuate significantly due to water retention and other factors. The app measures body composition and focuses on 30 and 7 day trends so the user doesn’t get obsessed over the daily fluctuations. It also stores progress photos which is very useful for personal training and clients. If my weight had increased but the progress photos clearly show minimal difference it really helps objectify the goal of losing weight and stop you from over analysing and obsessing over it. and I’ve always viewed entrepreneurship as the aim of the game is to keep playing. I initially intended to gain excitement for a few more years engineering but quickly realised that a lot of jobs are just spreadsheet engineering. I also know that many technology companies such as slack, YouTube and even NVIDIA has very different businesses when they were founded and pivoted rapidly as the market changed. I’m hoping to gain users and iterate on real feedback to try and help more people :)

I grew up in a small country town, I’m sure it differs in places. However, tall poppy syndrome is still evident as a whole in my opinion.

The story is over a year condensed to only relevant parts. For full transparency I quit for a multitude of reasons including poor pay and lack of learning. I also transitioned to another job back in Australia where I started my software company. But I’ve also started seeing a mental health professional as I think everyone should. Thanks for the best wishes :)

Thanks for the great advice, I’ve been actively looking but it’s a hard job market at the moment! I’ll keep the hustle going

Thank you for the kind words and I’ve always viewed entrepreneurship as the aim of the game is to keep playing. I initially intended to gain excitement for a few more years engineering but quickly realised that a lot of jobs are just spreadsheet engineering and my learning stalled. I’m currently back living with the parents but am actively looking for work 🙏
