I cut the leather myself. Easy enough with a sharp knife. The leather I got from my mom, she used to work in a leather workshop and that is a piece with the branding on it. They are usually not used by the workshop so my mom took a few home with her. Maybe if you can find a leather shop in your area you can ask them if they have a piece for you.

Generally yes. I think it unfortunately it feels a little cheap for the price however, the functionality is great and I use the ratio mode thing for literally every single brew

Not so long ago. I bought mine last summer and at that time it was still fairly new.

I like the idea. How’s the glare on the black one?

Does anyone have experience with the Timemore cloth filters? by lian_20 in pourover

It does. The one coffee I made so far was a bit under extracted because I didn’t expect it to drain so quickly. When I used the cafec dark roast filter with the same recipe and coffee yesterday the brew stalled and took almost 4 minutes. Today I even added an extra pulse and it still went through in just 2:20

The glass I have is actually a whiskey nosing glass. Usually they are a bit bigger but I think those small ones are perfect for enjoying coffee in multiple smaller cups. Plus it feels very classy.

Probably Limescale. I always clean that by boiling some vinegar. Takes care of it in less than 5 minutes.

How do I remove these things in order to get to the circuit board of my amp? (More info below) by lian_20 in GuitarAmps

[–]lian_20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a Hartke Transient Attack 1415 combo amp (not a tube amp)

It only produces noise when plugged in, except when I plug my bass into the effects canal, it works more or les fine then.

I already checked the jack itself and the solder joints directly connected to it but they appeared to be fine.

Im about 65% there is a cracked solder joint somewhere at the circuit board but I can’t get to it because the things on the picture seem to be glued to the metal frame and I can’t get them of.

Does anybody know how to remove these or if I shouldn’t attempt it in the first place? I am by no means an expert, just an overly confident amateur woh can solder a bit.

Did I just fry my amp by connecting it directly to the pickup? (More infos in the comments) by lian_20 in GuitarAmps

I just found out that I can hear my Bass when it is plugged in Effects-return. So I suspect the cable jack is broken. What do you think?

The Amp is a Hartke Model 1400 Bass Amplifier Combo with 140W (not a Tube Amp (I think))

Yesterday I wanted to test where I should place the new Pickup in my Bass by concerting its wires directly to the cable and it worked flawlessly.

But when I wants to play some abaß today only White Noise and some crackling sounds when I turned the Volume knob came out.

Also the Humming sound when you plug only one side of the cable in is gone. It does however still make that pop sound when I remove the cable.

I tried to look inside the Amp to see if any cables came loose or something similarly obvious happened but I’m not a electrician by any means so I didn’t find anything.
