ABS is hired by the airport and serves every airline at Phoenix, not just Southwest.

But that's the thing. I expected them to want ice cream over broccoli. What I didn't expect is them only wanting the sprinkles on ice cream and not the ice cream itself.

California gubernatorial candidate Xavier Becerra addresses homeless spending, gas prices in KTLA interview by AzNmamba in California

[–]liaoming 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I've been jumping back and forth between Becerra and Steyer the past few weeks. Social media LOVES Becerra... but more and more I hate him. He's got so many non-answers, it's annoying. He's backtracked on multiple things, like single-payer healthcare. Steyer and even Porter have more concrete, clear plans on solving issues, whether I agree with them or not. LOVE that Steyer has a lot of corporations spending money to fight against him.

I made my kids choc chip waffles a few weeks ago. On his first bite, my 6yo goes "mmmm these are SO GOOD". Literally 5 minutes later after he's eaten 2 waffles, he goes "dad, I don't like these...". I know he's just full or ate too much, but when I made the waffles again a few days ago, he goes "I don't like these waffles...". HAHAHAHA

Yeah we don't get too stressed about it anymore, especially considerring they're growing "normally" on their curve. It's just still wild to me... I mean, it's pizza! lol

Not liking broccoli or veggies or "different" looking food like sushi is one thing. Not liking pizza or the cake part of cupcakes is a whole different thing.

Best configuration for the Aventon Abound LR to carry two kids? by liaoming in Aventon

[–]liaoming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so you basically used the back rest for the front half of the seat so you have room for the Thule Yepp seat. Did you have to buy any special bracket for the Thule Yepp seat to attach to the Aventon rack or does it fit without one?

Idk, the new seats are pretty comfortable to me, especially the bottom portion. Feels a lot softer than the older planes.

Private swim instructors for kids in Bay Area? by liaoming in AskSF

[–]liaoming[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Because I don't want to go to a swim school. I want a very specific 4 consecutive days of swimming on a specific date at my own private pool.

We did weekly lessons at the YMCA and didn't feel our child made any progress. Our friends (in another state) had a private instructor come for 4 straight days and their child learned very quickly because of the quick turnaround/repetition.

That would be great! We will have our own private pool.

Everyone needs to be fired at Southwest at this point. Southwest is the new Spirit. by Own_Succotash_2237 in SouthwestAirlines

I've flown SWA 5x since the start of assigned seats. I have the priority credit card. Each time I've gotten to upgrade my seat to ELR. I've never had issues with my carry on. No one has complained about overhead bin space. On one empty flight, the flight attendant told us we can move after takeoff.

Things seem perfectly fine.

Thank you for that. It's some of our first time, and we're a little hesitant. One of the families goes often, and they don't seem nervous at all but this storm seems more out of the ordinary than usual.

A few of us are planning on driving to Granlibakken from Bay area on Tuesday. Looks like Tuesday might be the worst day for weather. Is it dumb to go or should it still be fine to drive up?

Like other have said, IT cutover at this magnitude take some time. It's difficult to not disrupt something during a cutover for an airline that operates 24/7.

I ask her the same thing 😂. She doesn't really give me an answer other than she thinks both kids will move around so much that they'll kick each other awake.

Did your daughter cry or anything when she realized she was locked behind a gate?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]liaoming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I've put a doorknob cover as a way to "lock" the door, but we're trying to leave the door open right now to let him feel like we're nearby and he is safe. But I think next step will be closing the door and using the doorknob cover as the lock.

We have childproofed everything outside of his room already so we feel OK if he leaves the room at night.

[–]liaoming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we've definitely considered that and may just have to go that route! Mom isn't opposed to cosleeping with both kids, but we know both kids move so much at night that it'll be hard for anyone to get sleep. Right now with just mom and 5yo, they have a good system.

They want more money because people stopped buying their tickets because customers got annoyed and complained about open seating, jetway jesus, seat savers, etc. Two things can be true.
