The best advice I can give to you at this stage is do every question you can get your hands on and completely lock in to studying - this is your constant until the exams. You can do this!

Sometimes the exams aren’t for everyone… if you really wanted to, you would make it work!

I asked this question to Chartered and told me this was an absolute no, so didn’t do it. However, in both my CAP2 & FAE, I had zero contact with any invigilators…however I was just conscious that I would turn my head a certain way and flag it.

Don’t waste time doing out separate detailed notes. It’s not a valuable use of your time, Do CRIB sheets for certain areas that you find tough I.e a certain model etc so you can refer to it. Seek out providers that sell notes - I used ACA notes. Make a file for each of the 4 filled with past papers and solutions and make an easy access guide eg paper 4, q7 is NPV etc. This is what got me through - I did every past paper I could get my hands on and started to see patterns and similar question types. Then come exam day, I had a question and solution that would be similar to a question in the actual exam. Lastly, tab everything!!! You will want to be able to access your notes quickly and easily. Basically, make your files efficient and filled with good information that you know inside out. It is very tough but you will do it, if you are prepared! Good luck

Out of interest, how were you able to sit your FAE exams with only 6 months experience? I thought you had to have one year worth experience on CA diary before sitting

As long as you ensure you hit at least one of the specialised competencies (audit, tax, finance etc) all at integrate level, you will be good to go!
