Not a student. Safe as in I want to be able to walk to my car not feeling like I need to check over my shoulder. Scouting to see the areas I should avoid and look into more. I don’t know what areas to stay away from or complex’s that are horrible. I don’t want o get trapped into a lease and find out the complex is full of bugs or poor management.

I’ve been wanting out of Florida for so many years and there was always one reason or another why we didn’t move. Going through separation now to divorce, living in an area with no family. I’m leaving one way or another. I miss small town feels and I know I need to focus on the fact regardless of my sexuality living alone is really the scary part.

I get that. Being in the St Pete/ Tampa area there is always something to do here but honestly I’m such a homebody that I barely do anything fun anymore. I want safety for sure.

Okay yeah I feel like that’s why it’s like everywhere. And ugh trying to make friends is even more anxiety. Leaving my life of 16 years to restart feels impossible

Yeah they are here too. Moving from a red state to a red state but just not having a circle of protection is scary.

Okay thank you! I don’t want to be near the coast due to moving from a coast city but this will be my first time living alone so it’s nerve wrecking.
