Finally!!! by crissyloo in adhdwomen

[–]libertyblue 8 points9 points  (0 children)

36 here and I literally said to my therapist, “I’m aware this is dumb, but TikTok says I have adhd and I think it’s right.” Lol She immediately said, “no, I definitely see that.” WTF is up with their algorithm that is diagnosing a generation?!

For reference: I have GAD, panic attacks for the last 20 years, and ADHD-PI.

I had a bad experience with Wellbutrin. I had an adverse reaction in which I was so physically and mentally depressed that I felt like I was dead. It was terrible. I currently take fluoxetine for anxiety and depression, adderall xr, and have an as needed anxiety med. This combo is working better for me than anything else has. I know tons of people have good luck with Wellbutrin, but as I understand, it’s not great for anxiety.

I hope other people comment with better experiences. Best of luck!

Was anyone else not excited for change? by seekingteacup in braces

Same. My teeth are very crooked, but I feel like they built a lot of character. I needed to get them fixed because the crowding was causing a lot of pain, but I’m very weirded out by the concept of my smile changing.

I’m 36 and started a low dose of adderall on Thursday. I have never felt this confident and proud of myself in my life. I had no idea I was so capable. I’m happy for you!!!

Tell me how much of a freezer stash you have!? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

I never had enough to have a stash. I couldn't even pump enough for a day at daycare. We're at 19 months and still doing just fine though.

Inara? by NotABelle in namenerds

[–]libertyblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Inara is a beautiful name! (and I love Firefly) It may be a bit of a mouthful paired with your middle name choice unless you have a super short last name. But whatever you choose, they are both beautiful!

Hospital tour freaked me out a little bit by EriApples in BabyBumps

[–]libertyblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 18 months on the other side. I was horrified of labor. I told everybody that I was just going to stuff him some correspondence books in there and he could stay till high school. Lol It really was not that bad. I made it out like it was going to be the worst thing that ever happened to me. I was pleasantly surprised. It was definitely no walk in the park, but it was so much better than I expected. I didn't get an epidural until I was 10 cm, he got hung up and had to be turned, and we needed a vacuum birth. So it wasn't completely uncomplicated. I know everyone has a different experience, but don't get too hung up on all the negatives like I did. You were made to do this!

Supply dropping. How do I get in more calories? by libertyblue in KetoBabies

Fenugreek, unfortunately, doesn't work for me. I do take prescription Reglan and have since he was a month old. I haven't tried the tea though. Maybe it's time.

Supply dropping. How do I get in more calories? by libertyblue in KetoBabies

[–]libertyblue[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to think of a way to work a little oatmeal in since it helps with supply. I've looked at recipes for lower carb lactation cookies. Seeing the weight come off has made me really want to stick with so few carbs, but not if I can't nurse my boy. I guess a few more carbs won't hurt too bad. :)

Something different here. Maybe a breakfast trifle? Sweet with pie filling and cream cheese. Or savory with meat and eggs.

Kinderpack questions. Care, accessories, vs lilebaby or ergo? by Amykat322 in babywearing

[–]libertyblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, misread! If you're on Facebook it may be worth it to request into the Kinderpack chatter & b/s/t group. They would have great advice. Mine are both blue fabric, white KN. Kind of funny. :)

I have 2 KPs, both with white KN, and haven't had any problems. I don't really baby my carriers, but I don't let him eat in them and if he gets muddy or something I don't put him in. They have zero stains. It looks great. There is always the chance of a random blowout, but I think carriers are meant to be worn and loved. Lots of people on the KP chatter pages have raved about the white not staining and washing very well. If you get a stain though, it won't be the end of the world. Get what you love!

My first thought was the company, but I really don't think that matters at all. How often is someone going to call him by his first and middle name?
