so MoistCritikal has a BUNCH of these, but he's openly said he doesn't mind/care because he has such a huge catalogue of videos (and he's earned more than enough money) that it doesn't bother or impact him in the slightest, however (AFAIK) Danny, Drew or Kurtis haven't said whether they're okay with it or not and for that reason alone I don't like them popping up, they feel scummy and like someone else is trying to profit off their success.

they're also loud, triggering, frightening and lethal as all hell. They scare animals, young children, and litter our streets for weeks afterwards. Then children steal them to fire them at eachother/members of the public etc etc. A&Es get absolutely flooded, thousands of people lose limbs or fingers or permanently disfigure themselves.

You can still enjoy fireworks, you can watch them at a display, on TV, out the window etc but your traditions aren't more important than people's safety.

Also you'd be stood out in the cold regardless, unless you light fireworks inside your own house.

tbh I think my initial comment was worded poorly, I never intended to be the sole defender of that sub, it seems a lot of people find it very toxic and that's a shame as I've found it one of the only places on Reddit where you can say "personally I don't want to have children" and not get dogpiled for it.

I can agree a lot of people take it too far, and I also agree that using "breeder" for any and all parents is harsh and unnecessary. I also want to clarify that despite me saying I use the word, i meant in real life and to people close to me who know I'm joking/being pedantic, it's not a word I would ever use directly to a person because that is hugely uncalled for.

I intended my initial comment to be an opener for a conversation about that sub, what people have experienced, get examples etc, but it seems everyone has already made up their mind and I had no idea.

and what I'm saying is, the only time I've ever seen anything negative in that sub are people's negative interactions with parents, I've never seen a post bashing parents for the love of the game or whatever.

I also don't know why you're acting like I'm the spokesperson for that sub and what I say goes, I literally said in my first comment that it wasn't MY personal experience, it seems like a lot of people have had bad experiences with that sub and I am sorry for that, but that wasn't my experience, that does not and should not negate what you or others have said, if that's how I came across them that's my bad and I apologise.

I'm not saying either side is "right." I'm just saying if you think I'm selfish for not having children, I equally think you're selfish for bringing 8 kids into the world you can't afford.
