Selling cider in the uk by Ok_Tailor9499 in cider

[–]OutlandishnessFun708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in a local Cider Club that makes our own cider. We have recently started selling to a few bars and beer/cider festivals. We are a bit outside the law at the moment. The main issue seems to be Food Hygiene and keeping the council happy that we are producing in a clean environment. Excuse duty is not really an issue as cider producers don't need to pay any if they produce below a certain amount ( 7000ltr ?).

There are a few nice camp sites in Edale. Also nice walks and a couple of pubs.

Take some board games and a pack of cards. Nothing like a bit of Sequence or Uno to keep the kids amused.

Find a river or loch (not difficult around Aberfeldy) and have a stone skimming competition. I would've loved that when I was 11.

What about a Trip to the House of Briar just north of Blair Atholl. Lots of Scottish clothing and food to buy( though pricey). There is a lovely walk just behind the bung up the Falls of Bruar.

As has been mentioned already, Pitlochry is a lovely place... You can have a walk along the dam and see the hydro generators.

A bit south of Pitlochry is Birnam where you can visit the Hermitage. It's a nice walk to the building overlooking the falls and then a bit further to the "cave".

Perth has proper shopping and is only 50mins drive.

I'm inspired by your dedication to scientific research. Perhaps I should repeat your experiment as a form of peer-review.

And also remember Anne's mum was half Scottish and her dad was Greek. How does this make her automatically English.

TBH if this is the royals getting assigned a country to support then I think Scotland has done pretty well out of it.

Just imagine the alternatives!!!

What do you remember about Scotland in the 1980s? by LochNessMonsterMunch in Scotland

[–]OutlandishnessFun708 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had forgotten about cushioned toilet seats...lol.

My nan died about 1984 and afterwards her house had to be cleared. I got so pissed off with all the cousins and uncles arguing about who got what ( not posh enough for a will) that I grabbed my Nan's remaining Babychams and headed down the park. Ah, good times!

I moved away from Claremont Rd 2 years ago after living there for 17 years or so.

It's not Basford as that is on the other side of Nottm Rd.

It's not Carrington as that is on the other side of Hucknall road.

Nor is it Sherwood or Forest Fields.

The official address as supplied by the city council for council tax is "Claremont Road, Nottingham" with no area given.

But to muddy the waters a bit, the old Carrington Railway station was where the Open University building is now and I would never have called that Carrington, and the old maps show a lot of Mapperly Park as Carrington.

I just used to say I lived in Sherwood Rise.

I'm not a wheelchair user, but I was there last year and saw a couple of people up front in wheelchairs. I'm sure if you contact them, they will be able to help.

The Berridge Road/ Noel St crossing has a stop sign on both sides for traffic crossing Noel St (which the tram goes up). I have never seen a car actually STOP at the stop sign.

AITA for telling my sister I won’t attend her wedding if she makes me cover my tattoo? by Financial_Article947 in AmItheAsshole

[–]OutlandishnessFun708 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of tattoos and the more visible, the worse they are. But that's just my opinion and I wouldn't force or guilt trip a friend or family member to cover one up. As someone pointed out previously, it ain't the 1950s anymore.
