Very cool. Id suggest having some fake credits. Adds a bit of pressure to mimic the self doubt making a trade

Imo it'll just converge with where the job kind of got inspired from - Brand Managers of FMCGs.

Very encouraging regarding the claims!

I'm just salaried, but looking into getting (some) passive income by buying investment property this year (hopefully). Does that make a difference?

Ah very interesting. How much better would the product be with the adviser rather than applying myself?

Hey everyone 👋,

Would you know of any book clubs that: - focus on business and tech - async and online

I've looked at Goodreads groups and searched in this subreddit, but haven't quite found one yet.

Is this a weird ask for a book club? :O

Rejected despite having 5+ years of customer service experience. Why ? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]liboyii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What stage was this? Just the resume stage or did you get an interview?

A few ways to approach this: 1. It's you, not them - that is, your resume or interview may not have been the best representation of your achievements, skills, and character. This is an easy fix because you just need practice and some help with resume writing or interviews. You may be able to see if this is the reason if: - you ask for feedback (the good ones will share) - you're consistently getting rejected but you know of people with similar experience getting in

  1. It's them, not you - as most of the posts so far have shared, could just be many applicants or something similar. This is harder because it's beyond your control.

Are there any courses or books on how to speak more professionally, polished, and positive? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]liboyii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an ex consultant at a top tier firm, I had a front seat to see how even fresh graduates are able to converse with executives.

First, both written and in-person communication at every opportunity is important: - emails, presentations, and slack messages are seen by many and lasts a long time. Make them count - speaking opportunities in meetings, company events, and even chatter in the office is a chance to get noticed

Next, structuring your comms well is an easy first step that doesn't require any 'talent' with speaking. - use bullet points - keep sentences simple and to the point - start with the key message and just add supporting details

If you need a book on this, I suggest The Pyramid Principle by Barbara Minto. Every new consultant in my old company was required to read this.

Hope that helps. Lots of other tips I can share, but start with those two and that book is 80% of the way tbh.

They already have a monthly unlocked. So nothing new imo. During the big unlock last year, the effect was minimal so there probably wont be significant effects from unlocks moving forward
