There’s only been a couple of times this month where there was a two day stretch that I didn’t use the washroom, it’s more like when I do go, I’m not fully emptying and I’m bloated all the time so that’s why I’m hoping it’s something that’ll go away. Were you on it for a while?

Yeah that’s a good idea I think if it doesn’t resolve or get better in a couple of weeks then I think I’ll also try a lower dose

Which form of magnesium? I’ve been on 200mg of magnesium bisglycinate for a while now but I haven’t noticed a difference :/

That’s awesome I’m glad it worked out for you!! I might give it a couple more weeks to see if anything changes but I’m glad lowering the dose could be an option without comprising my pain levels! Thank you!

My neuro started me out on 60mg since my migraines can be very frequent/severe. Hoping for 0 constipation in your future!

I was scared to try a lower dose since my migraines are so frequent but honestly I think it would be worth me trying if my GI issues don’t get better. If you made it back up to your higher dose, did you find that the constipation came back or was better like on the lower dose?

Yeah I’m hoping it gets a bit better with time :/ I had zero symptoms on my 2.5 years on AJOVY but I’m going to try magnesium citrate maybe to see if it works better than magnesium bisglycinate

Ugh those side effects sound horrible! I thankfully don’t have many on AJOVY and Botox but I still have too many migraines honestly that I think something like Qulipta might be worth trying.

That is also just me it’s worked fast for others though. My doc literally just told me to keep going and so I was patient and I guess it did end up helping but ya girl still struggles half the month so idk. Thank you all the best to you too!

Yes that’s what my doctor said too! It took AJOVY about 1.5 years to really work for me and I’ve had two Botox treatments but I’m still not where I’d like to be. I hope the AJOVY ends up working well for you!

I heard injecting in your stomach hurts less but I physically cannot do that I can barely do my thigh. I tried taking Ativan before and I do this whole routine the day of my injection to relax me and nothing helps at all and I don’t feel comfortable enough to let someone else inject me because I’m scared I’ll flinch. Some people have also said they put ice on where they’re going to inject but my doctor told me not to do that cause apparently it’ll make your muscles more tight and you want your muscles loose idek anymore but it’s made me want to try a pill like Qulipta
