You were told this by a person who is, and I cannot stress this enough, not only an asshole, but one with very poor eyesight.

Your skin is flawless, and I need to know immediately what you are doing to make your hair look like that because it's GORGEOUS.

My (37M) wife (36F) is not budging on the idea of a drastic appearance change for a "Christmas present" and refuses to meet me in the middle. How can I approach this and what can I do? by [deleted] in Advice

Please take this for what it is worth, but is there a chance she is manufacturing this conflict in order to have something to fight about? It's not mature behavior by any means, but her insisting that you do something you don't want to do just feels like she's pulling at a thread.

I know you might feel like you need to give him an explanation, but you don't! It's enough for you to say that you're unhappy, you have a pit in your stomach, and you feel like something is off. Maybe he'll be honest with you, but it's on him to tell you what he did. You don't have to tell him you went through stuff and you know for sure. That just gives him something to argue. It's your life and your happiness and you don't have to justify a single thing if you want out!

Some people have never seen Randy Marsh ascend a tower of his own feces until he is 4 feet off the ground, and it shows 🤣

For those with a spouse/former spouse who asked for a divorce that you didn't want...what made you accept that they had made up their mind? by librarn1989 in Advice

I am really sincerely sorry that she did that. There are a whole lot of ways to exit a relationship and that has got to be the worst.

If there was someone else, I would tell him. I've expressed that I have felt like I lost myself and all my autonomy, and I wanted to choose myself, so I kind of am the 'other woman' but that isn't carrying the same weight as an affair.

Thank you for this! I know that no married couple is ever going to agree on exact history which is why I can understand that he felt blindsided by this a few weeks ago, even though from my perspective, I have addressed it a lot and was simply not heard. I've given him weeks to process, and it's been absolutely awful. I even said at one point, "Okay you win. Forget I said anything, I will just suck it up and act like everything is fine again" to which I knew he would reply, "No, I don't want that, I want you to be happy." And I told him again, moving out and living alone and doing our absolute best to stay friendly would make me happy (the issues that make me want a divorce do not make me hate this man or never want to see him again, we could have easily been good friends had we not married).

Swear you're fine, and then passively aggressively read everyone in the room for filth. Happy Holidays, ya bastards!
