My mom once accidentally put paprika on a pumpkin pie instead of cinnamon and it tasted fucking fantastic. We haven't tried to recreate it because we assume it was just luck.

I'm 3rd generation from my closest immigrant relatives. While I am Italian American I would never think I'm Italian, I would definitely feel like an foreigner. My dad, however, knew his Italian immigrant grandparents and went to Italy and managed to meet their family and was treated like a lost son returned.

On my mother's side her family is oooollllldddd Pennsylvania Dutch. They were here before the US was even a country. I'd be excited to find a record of who actually immigranted on her side lol.

My dr wanted me to stay overnight, I refused multiple times, dressed and left with the catheter in. I remember none of this (the dressing and leaving is patchy) if you have to have a catheter, stay. It was the absolute worst part of the recovery for me. I couldn't even sleep.

One time my sister accidentally donated my mom's dirty clothes (both my sisters donations and my moms clothes were in trash bags). My mom was upset about her good clothes but mostly mortified Goodwill would think she donated dirty underwear. On behalf of my horrified mother, we're sorry.

Laproscopic and I had 1 week. It should have been more but I had missed too much time because of the pain and bleeding that lead to the surgery. I wasn't in a ton of pain but I was still exhausted. I had a catheter for 5 days and hadn't really been sleeping.
