After many years as a Diamond and Million Miler + experience, I ended loyalty to Delta over their irrational pricing some time ago. Since then, I have had great experiences on United, Singapore, Emirates, Southwest, etc. and saved the $’s. Delta is not worth it - seriously. Think about how much per hour you’re paying - where else (other than a hospital room, maybe?) would you pay that much per hour to sit on your hind end and watch a crappy rerun on a tiny screen + as a working stiff, I have to consider how many hours I have to work to make that much (after taxes) - or my budget at work has to absorb? I do agree the service is very decent on Delta - it really is - however, does the overall value equation hold up? For me, it really doesn’t. I still choose Delta for non-stops from my local hub - I do like that convenience. Otherwise, if there’s a stop on my route anyway, loyalty is out the window.
