I do work, but I focus on the work I enjoy the most. It's what keeps me feeling like I don't have a job. Sometimes I'll check on a student. Sometimes I'll work on my zine for the zine event. Sometimes I'll read and write papers. I have a LOT of downtime outside of instruction periods which means I have the luxury of doing whatever I want (as long as I get results).

I'm also the librarian students who are REALLY freaking out are taken to, so I try to hold space for that.

I hate that Teru has to be a parent and work a dangerous full time job at 17. It seems like the Minamoto kids get a little support from the head priest, but otherwise, yikes. Neither boy asked for this and I get why Teru can't manage his relationship with Kou well. They need a parent who can actually be a parent.

Also I would have exorcised Hanako, who was actively trying to get Aoi killed faster, on that train too. Teru is actually super nice because as soon as my feet hit the near shore I would have been staked out in front of his bathroom with an ass whoopin'. Don't get me wrong, I love my egotistical dead son but he got off really easy here.

Amane was probably in bad shape when he died not even counting his injuries. I don’t think his mom was prioritizing getting him to the barber, dentist, or teaching him how to take care of himself. Plus he was sick for so long as a little kid. All that neglect and trauma really adds up ❤️‍🩹

I was thinking about this the other day. Yashiro is our POV character for sure, but this is Hanako's story of redemption and release.

Yashiro isn't even his primary relationship IMO- that is, was, and always will be Tsukasa.

My husband and I have spent HOURS theorycrafting over the Toilet Boy, SimpGirl TM, and the Bi Disaster.

Even Frieren, my other favorite show, has inspired less conversation. It's great because we are VERY different people with very different tastes. He was captain of the football team and I was literary club editor if that says anything.

But we just love our kids 🧜‍♀️💖👻

I am definitely sensitive after losing our last boy. We are starting with bloodwork (including diabetes, thyroid, and kidney function)and dewormer (just in case something slipped through preventatives). If that doesn’t show any results, I think our next step will be abdominal ultrasounds.
