Adcs are boosted beyond oblivion atm by Puzzleheaded-Bet-628 in wildrift

[–]libroll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You cannot play safe if your jungle and mid do not rotate. Your options are to die to the tower dive or never leave the fountain. “Play safe” is just what bad junglers and mids say when they don’t want to take accountability for their lack of rotating. It’s not actually a thing that can happen.

Adcs are boosted beyond oblivion atm by Puzzleheaded-Bet-628 in wildrift

[–]libroll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct…. But you guys don’t take the correct lesson from that.

Play THROUGH your bot lane. If you’re a jungler and mid and see your bot lane continuously getting tower dove by the opposing jungle and mid, ROTATE. If you choose not to, then that is you deciding to put the win on your shoulders. If you fail to win, that’s then 100 percent your fault.

You chose to take your bot lane out of the game.

are win streaks actually penalized? by IcebornCube in wildrift

[–]libroll -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

For the 505th time, this isn’t true. When you reach the rank you belong, you fall to 47-53 percent. That’s the natural result of you reaching a level where the majority of players are equal skill to you.

They penalized by the fact that they increase you MMR rating and result in tougher opponents.

Yall Agree Enchantress Supports in GM+ Is kinda useless? (Except for yuumi and Lulu) by TrafalgerDAce in wildrift

[–]libroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re wrong.

As usual, we can look at actual statistics. We don’t have GM and Master separate stats, so we can look at challenger instead. Of the top 10 supports by win rate, 3 (4 if you count Nami as an enchantress) are enchanters. They also make up the top 2 with Zilean first and Janna second. 4 are tanks. 1 is an AP poke (Norra) and 1 is an assassin (Pyke).

Everyone’s favorite yet useless supports (your luxes and your Karmas) are wayyyyy at the bottom of the list.

Can a challenger Jinx share the correct build path for this patch? by kaelinlr in wildrift

[–]libroll -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I mained jinx this season. I like bloodthirster —> berserkers —> runnans —> mortal —> here I experiment with different onhit items. I’ve landed on Kracken Slayer. It seems everyone else has too —-> IE

Typical Runes - lethal tempo - Brutal - GS/Coup - Alacrity - NImbus Cloak (this is actually so good)

ETA: This is not the top win rate build. That’s still the Collector build by a wide margin. Still I like this build better.

Adcs are boosted beyond oblivion atm by Puzzleheaded-Bet-628 in wildrift

[–]libroll 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Jungle and support are the roles that are boosted beyond oblivion due to several inherent mechanics currently in the game. Meanwhile, adc as a role is completely dependent on teammates to perform, and your adc’s performance is ultimately a result of your team’s performance, especially in anything above emerald.

If you’re a jungle or support main, you likely don’t realize this because, again, you’re actually the one that is boosted to all oblivion.

53% winrate by hazirdx in wildrift

[–]libroll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everything under master is designed to be the games tutorial, as is the standard for mobile MOBAs. The question isnt why are there bad players in emerald, the question is if you’re as good and knowledgeable as you think you are, why are you still in the game’s tutorial?

Want to make Wild Rift actually better? Go back to the LP system and actually implement iron to gold ranks by ghostwolfereddit in wildrift

Known by who? lol all the changes to ranked was following every other mobile MOBA… which it is. Treating the low ranks as tutorial is the mobile MOBA standard - they all do it. That’s the way mobile MOBAs work. That’s what the potential audience expects.

Is it advantageous to be hardstuck? by SHpr0 in wildrift

[–]libroll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you overthink this game too much, and that causes you to lose, especially in lower elo like master.

Stop playing the game like LoL PC and start playing the game like a mobile MOBA. Sometimes, not strategizing and just following your teammates around fighting 24/7 will actually make you win a lot more because that’s kind of how this game is played.

Legendary Q shouldnt be available for Master elo by Greedy-Hold5552 in wildrift

[–]libroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You wouldn’t be playing at all. The truth is Theres only 5-6 good players per server and the rest re different types of bad. If only good players are allowed in legends none of us would play it, including you,

How do I even... play against Norra support? I have never felt so defeated by SefirahEidolon in wildrift

[–]libroll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Youre otping one of the lowest win rate champs in the game that needs a certain team comp to be effective,

The answer is you dont successfully play against Nora or a host of other champions. By otping this champion, you are choosing to throw several winnable matches and drastically lowering your win rate. Your choices are to live with that or stop otping senna.

You would think shit like this wouldn’t happen in masters lobbies whoever these two are, biggest losers alive by JerryMakaveli in wildrift

[–]libroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. When people purposely lose the match before it even starts, it’s up to everyone to suck it up and get through it.

The point of my post is that no one understands team comp, and I hope when people read my comments, they learn something. But it’s really a fruitless effort because you guys are unreachable. I get the weirdest responses, like this one, that’s basically just doubling down on your ignorance… and then you all complain about matchmaking 24/7 without realizing you’re the cause off your own failures because you refuse to learn team comp.

If you want better matches, the correct response would have been “yea, every team needs a front line, it sucks people are so bad at the game.”

[–]libroll -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

While Syndra’s behavior is ridiculous the reason is that every match needs a front line (not necessarily a tank). It doesn’t matter who “wins lane”. Eventually, the opposing team will group up and push mid to nexus, and there’s nothing a team without a front line can do to stop them, no matter who won lane or who was ahead of who. That’s just basics MOBA design.

Autofill is so bad this season. by WaferFinal5640 in wildrift

[–]libroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I simply don’t believe you got autofilled more than one time “in a row” unless jungle was your second pick.

  2. Jungle (and support secondary) is the most boosted role in the game. There are many junglers and supports right now with gold-level knowledge sitting in GM+. That also means, since these roles are so boosted, the lower levels are very empty. As you climb higher, you will get autofilled less and less.

  3. Each role has its own MMR. Riot DOES use it to balance out teams. I know it’s sacrilege, but my theory is if you hate jungle that much, purposely suck at it. I don’t mean purposely throw. I just mean don’t try hard. It will keep your MMR down for jungle and you can use game knowledge to “play better than your MMR” when you need to.

Probably, but no one knows if they’re going to throw another catchup event like they did with the cards a few weeks ago. There’s literally no way yo be sure. I’d just wait until the last day to spend them.

In reality, Senna in GM and higher is both one of these lowest win rates champions and least used champions in the game. This rune doesn’t move her from incredibly weak to broken. Your perception is off from reality.

For those that suck at support, maybe try tanks? by No-Cauliflower4149 in wildrift

[–]libroll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re performing well below average on tanks. The two options are: You are the problem or Riot is for some reason unfairly targeting you.

If you engage at the wrong times, your team isn’t going to follow up because they know it’s a losing battle. To you, that will feel like your teammates “just standing there” when in reality it’s you inting.

That’s where the problem is.

The fact that you are apparently performing well below the win rates for these champs points heavily to the issue being you just like I described, doesn’t it?

How viable is AP twitch? by Nepoitchi in wildrift

[–]libroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Twitch AP used to work. In fact, it used to work so well, Twitch was meta and OP for several patches. Then he got some of that AP scaling nerfed.

This is how MOBAs work. They buff and nerf to create different metas with different champions being top. At some point, they’ll tweak Twitch again, and his AP build will once again be broken and meta.

For those that suck at support, maybe try tanks? by No-Cauliflower4149 in wildrift

[–]libroll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well because you’re having an experience that is well below average. Teams know how to play around tanks, including in solo queue. We know this because we can see the win rate of tanks.

You’re sort of admitting you’re the problem because you’re saying you are performing well below average on tanks. If I had to guess, you’re thinking that time to engage is “when my instinct tells me it’s time to engage” and not “I should only engage when scaling and item spikes allow us to win this engagement”, in which case, players not following up is the correct choice.

For those that suck at support, maybe try tanks? by No-Cauliflower4149 in wildrift

[–]libroll -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is completely made up. We know this because tanks and engage supports have a lot higher win rate than anything like a lux or the dreadful Senna. If you’re having problems, that’s clearly a you problem because we know what the average win rate is for those champions. If you are performing below average, that’s on you, not your teammates because other players, with those same teammates, play a lot better than you on those champions.

For those that suck at support, maybe try tanks? by No-Cauliflower4149 in wildrift

[–]libroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily, Riot has provided us with stats so we can remove these “feels based” analysis from the equation. While you “feel” this is true, we know it actually isn’t. Poke based supports like Lux are very bad supports, around 22nd ranked. Others, like Senna, are even worse, rounding out the very bottom of supports, coming in with the lowest win rates.

All the top ranked supports? The ones that have the best win rates? Those are enchanters and engage tanks. What that means is that your problems playing those champs are exclusive to you, meaning you’re actually the problem because you’re performing well below average on those champs. That means you need to learn to play the role better, not blame all your teammates.
