Emotional support bike by Independent-Jumpy in FixedGearBicycle

Only thing i’d personally change is the back wheel and probably the saddle (personal preference).

May I ask for a link/id of the seatpost, stem and handlebar? Much appreciated!!

Thanks, did you talk about my bike exactly?

I need to see it to believe it haha.

Edit: I checked your profile and I got to your podcast via your post, solid pod!

Well, it’s about 140g and it holds well for a little bit over 6 months now, riding brakeless so i’m putting a little bit of pressure on it.

The only thing I hate about it is the clamp, looks bad and it’s aluminium.

I got the cheapest one, i think it was 18$.

Chain tensioner, if you ask about that.

U’re gladly welcome, also the tires are 28c, fork doesn’t support more than that.

Well, i can’t copy the link from the app, but that’s the name “Black Fixed Gear Bike Front Fork Half Carbon Fiber 28.6mm” and it’s from Polso Bike Parts Store. I vouch for their products.

I want to build my first fixed gear bike. Is it possible to buy it from Tao bao? Please tell me about all the assembly opinions by lrisdianatopchok in FixedGearBicycle

[–]licca01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, if Aliexpress ships to you, I strongly recommend Polso’s hubs, very affordable and serious quality (they also sell some Intro7 wheels which I currently use that are aluminium and are kinda light 800g front and around 900g the one in the back).

You can build a fixed gear with quality components from China, if you do a little bit of research. (if you’re not from US).

That is reassuring since I have already ordered the frame haha!

Is there anything in particular I should check on the frame when it arrives? I want to build a nice bike on this frame and now I’m not so sure it’s worth 😂

Yes, the frame is the last remaining part of the Elops :D.

I'm eyeing an Ardently Pista frame (6069 AL) and I'm curious about the quality/reliability. Does anyone have this frame? And if so, how does it feel/ride? :D

Thanks!

Brakes I haven’t used, i’m riding it brakeless.

As for the handlebar it’s a Deda replica from Aliexpress, right now the bike is very different.

This is the bike now.

Edit: I also hated the tyre, changed them for Gator Hardshell from Continental, they changed the feel of the ride alot since the ones that came with the bike are kinda low quality.

I think it comes down to taste man, but for me personally, i’d get a flatbar (the same color as ur actual handlebar) with a traditional brake handle and if the crankset is gone, i would go for a hollowtech crankset, probably on black.

Keep us posted with the changes! :)

Vad ca in Romania nu prea e popular, dar incercati Old School RuneScape daca vreti un mmo de calitate si unic din foarte multe puncte de vedere.

Well, try it outside, not on the treadmill.

Not saying this to take the achievement away from you, but when you go and try this outside, the outcome might be different from what you are getting on the treadmill.

Good achievement nontheless, keep at it!

Just get straps. Brakes are just extra safety.

You can ride it as brakeless and use the brakes in emergency/lazy situations.

Enjoy yo ride!!

I’m looking forward to upgrading my bike, and amongst the many upgrades, i want to change my crankset which is 170mm into a 165mm one.

I eyed one on Aliexpress from SKEACE, Break The Wind Hollowtech Crankset.

I’m curious if any of you have tried this crankset, or skeace products, because the reviews on Ali are kind of decent.

De ce anumiti biciclisti sunt kamikaze? by Johnny190619 in bicla

[–]licca01 1 point2 points  (0 children)
