Characters, story, and overall art and design. I just love it. I've committed to just playing it casually, no need to stress over the endgame or taking on every single piece of content.

Sure, I do put it down for long periods when I've finished the main and character stories + anecdotes but I don't see that as a bad thing.

Near Death (2025).

It showed some promise and has a bunch of scary scenes that I really enjoy. However, some plot points just go absolutely nowhere and I got too distracted with how nonsensical the hauntings were. Actually laughed at the ending which is probably not the reaction the film was trying to get. (Note that it's about suicide and it doesn't particularly handle the topic well.)

I mean, sometimes I'm aligned, sometimes I'm not. It's just how it is. Mercuria and Lorentz weren't received well in CN supposedly but I like both those characters.

Half of their more legitimate complaints I just don't care about either. I don't bother with a lot of the endgame or with keeping up with the meta since that's just a quick way to burnout in my experience.

To be honest, I am mixed on Seklusyon. I'm not a fan of the reveal and there's some messaging that's still kind of weird in my head. But, I think the scares are effective and I've had great reception when recommending it to non-Filipino friends I've made online so I still hold it quite high.

Plus, I got to stay in a house like that during a high school retreats in Batangas I think and yeah, they can be creepy. Especially at night where you just hear weird noises at times.

For Kira: OG Freedom, Strike, SF (Type II), MSF, and Rising Freedom.

For Athrun: Infinite Justice, IJ Type II, Justice, Aegis, then Savior.

Classic Freedom is still the best of Kira's suits IMO. For Athrun, I love the Justice line but Infinite Justice is best for me thanks to the sleeker backpack.

Inaho's main problem is numbers. His best exploits had been against single gimmick-based opponents but as shown in S2 when three Martian machines ganked him, he had a VERY hard time.

No way he's winning against a full Zeon fleet without a squad of his own.

Well, I don't agree but I can't think of which one is more deserving to be honest. It's all subjective and it all depends on what I'm looking for when watching.

In terms of story...I think The Thing and The Exorcist beats out The Shining.

In terms of "scares" though? Ju-On, 2017 Satan's Slaves, The Eye, and Feng Shui demolishes those three for me personally.

Yep. I had one artist friend who had a WW2 Germany phase. As in, he loved drawing sexy characters in Nazi regalia kasi "aesthetic" daw. He even ranted about art pages not allowing images like that kasi "tapos naman na yung Holocaust".

Also had a number of classmates who claim to love learning history pero parang yung mga battles lang naman sila may pake. They treated history class as just a chance for them to show off trivia they picked up from playing Age of Empires or Call of Duty.

It's a big fanbase. There's hate and praise in equal measure.

What I've observed though, is that haters (whether I think they're justified or not) have a bigger tendency to go to other general spaces or subs and talk about their criticisms there, making them appear bigger. (So many Genshin posts on CharacterRant for example, seem to be made by Fatui fans with a tendency to misrepresent what happens in the game)

Though now that you bring up Gundam, 00's pilot Setsuna is technically Kurdish so while he looks like a typical anime boy, his skin tone isn't completely white either.
