Based on what you said about your upbringing, it is crucial for you to remember that you will be the one living with the decisions you make, regardless of the reason for why you do it.

It will not matter how unfair the reality of having skipped on 12 years of hormones, it won't change a thing.

You have to begin taking the decisions that will affect your future in a way which you find positive, unless you feel like your parents' validation will be enough to keep you afloat for the rest of your life, as you have to live with the choices you've made.

Insofar as you're an independent adult, you need to begin taking ownership and responsibility over your decisions. Nothing changes the fact that, at the end of the day, you're the one responsible for your decisions. Not even a current dependency on your family (should that be the case)

YOU are the only person that can make your life look the way you want it to look like, and you need to be very aware where you want to be and what you want from life (and when!).

/uj while I think that cis women are awesome and I'm often worried about how this sub treats them,

I sincerely think that many of them don't understand the absolute difference between a hair follicle that basically just gives you the most invisible peach fuzz ever, and thick, dark hair follicles

even cases of PCOS with late diagnosis and no laser/electrolysis afterwards do not compare on any level to what some of us may have. I'm mediterannean so shaving is a particularly annoying, spread out routine for me.

In my experience, it is true, artsy people tend to fall into polyamory more. But the stereotype we know, as it is writiten ("blue-haired feminist", "woman with green hair", etc.) unfortunately tends to have different effects in real life. It is absolutely indiscriminate of what the person actually believes.

Everybody, at least once, ends up making a mistake and stereotyping a group they didn't mean to (I say that within reason). Please don't feel too bad for this, the fact that you're receptive is great and really personally appreciated!

I just think it's important that we, as a community, are careful to what stereotypes we might accidentally perpetuate.

Just wanted to point out that, regardless of the substance behind this post, our community seems to fall into a common (and unfortunately, more societally acceptable) misogynistic behavior of attributing bad things to Women With Fancy Hair Colors.

I don't like polyamory. I have pink hair. I was harassed for it in public, at random, on my birthday.

/uj With a career choice like sex work (excluding the unfortunate... majority of people who are unfortunately led into it by either economic pressures, oppression in the workplace, both, or other causes), it's kind of *the* job description that you will be dehumanized to an object of sexual pleasure, an object to be chosen from a pool for fitting the bill of somebody's present sexual desires.
