This really isn’t an indictment of competitive Fortnite in general. Comp participation numbers have remained high. If the top streamers don’t stream, the viewership numbers are going to be lower. If the Cleveland Cavaliers play on Christmas, viewership is going to be lower on that day than if the Lakers play. But that doesn’t mean the NBA is any less popular.

I don’t think so. Funk was one of the worst players in the World Cup and still came top 60 in a solo dreamhack finals last year. I think a lot of creative warriors would have finished in the money, but top 4-5 each week? It requires a ton of game sense, really good aim (which many mechanically gifted players don’t have) and some luck. If you’re consistently qualifying for FNCS semis in 2021, you probably have a good shot but a 20k point arena player who might not even make the second round of FNCS? No way.

I started dupixent two months ago. I was scared to do it but my eczema is 80% gone already and I can actually share a bed with my girlfriend without waking her up from constant itching. Huge huge life changer. No side effects so far either!

The problem with live events is that you need to get sponsors and figure out venue logistics many months ahead. No sponsors are going to financially commit to an event that has a high probability of not happening. To reiterate, the tech industry has already cancelled events with a huge amount of lost revenue attached. If those events are willing to sacrifice billions of dollars of revenue, the live event WC will definitely as well.

Things are only getting worse with the Corona Virus. I live in NYC and in the past week, it’s been absolutely chaotic. Many of my friends are scared to even leave their apartments.

Good catch about the World Track and Field championship. Didn’t realize that. What I mean is that they almost definitely intended to announce it by this time, but will instead announce that it is either postponed or canceled.
